WoWFEST19 is thrilled to present...Pulp Idol Final 2019Join the novelists of the future at WoWFest19’s Pulp Idol Grand Final. Finalists will compete in the hopes of WoW-ing the judges, being crowned Pulp Idol Winner 2019 and having their novel read by a professional literary agent. Guest judges include Charlotte Humphreys (Editor of Chatto & Windus) Laura Williams (Geene & Heaton)Charlotte Humphery is an editor at Chatto & Windus (Vintage) working on literary fiction and non-fiction, short stories, history and memoir, from around the UK and abroad, with established authors like Rose Tremain and Mark Haddon, as well as newer voices like Helen Mort, Naoko Abe and Damian Le Bas. Laura Williams joined Greene & Heaton as an agent in 2018. She worked at Peters Fraser and Dunlop from 2011, after completing a degree in Classics at Oxford. She is actively building a fiction list and a small non-fiction list. She is currently looking for literary fiction, edgy commercial fiction, psychological thrillers and high-concept contemporary young adult, as well as narrative non-fiction of all types. Her taste is quite dark, and she loves gothic, ghost stories, horror and anything sinister. She also loves books that make her cry, from big love stories to intense family dramas.Our unique novel writing competition bridges the gap between, mainstream publishing and independent publishers.
