Don't miss this rare opportunity to take part in a Chinese Pole workshop at The Florrie in Liverpool, led by Sadiq Ali and Hauk Pattison, two of Britain's most talented contemporary circus performers. Chinese Pole is a professional circus discipline that uses the strength and coordination of the whole body to climb, move and perform acrobatics on a static 6 metre pole. Our workshops will have two Chinese poles where you can get your first experience with the apparatus - or continuing if you have tried before. This workshop is suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of strength and fitness. Some experience in aerial circus, gymnastics, pole fitness or similar activity will be an advantage. Age ranges welcome from 16+ Rubber soled shoes are necessary to climb efficiently and please wear thick trousers like denim jeans and leggings underneath if you can! It will make it a lot easier on your body! Circus training develops the body physically and the mind alongside. It is an inclusive environment open and all are from age 16+ welcome! Sadiq is a graduate of the National Centre for Circus Arts, a resident performer at London's famous Café de Paris and has recently toured with internationally acclaimed Ockams Razor. Hauk has been performing since he was a child and is an actor, marshal artist and Chinese pole performer. His career has encompassed theatre, circus and film including work for the RSC, Frantic Assembly, Multistory, Twisted Circus and 'Notes On A Scandal'.
