About this deal

The production processes for synthetic fabrics vary widely, and they are frequently treated to make them wrinkle-, odor-, or water-resistant. Some of the dyes made for natural fibers can work with poly/cotton blends, depending on the amount of polyester in the blend. Any reviews of this product that I could find online did not mention any sort of thing like this happening so I was really annoyed by the end of the whole process. iDye comes in a dissolvable packet, so there are never any messy powders to handle: simply dissolve the packet in the dye bath or drop it in the washer, then add the fabric. Worked as Described I dyed an evening gown needed a dark blue bought the midnight blue was the only dark blue option.

It may also be used for sublimation transfer techniques and to dye the polyester threads that are used to sew many commercially manufactured garments. The blend of polyester and cotton fibers can be challenging to dye evenly, but with our product, you’ll achieve vibrant and consistent color every time. Use of any site content, including any/all images, without express and written prior permission from Jacquard Products is strictly prohibited. For natural fabrics, you can use iDye for Natural Fabrics, Simply dissolve the packet in the dye bath and add the fabric.

For blended fabrics that contain both synthetic and natural fibers, use iDye for Natural Fabrics with the corresponding iDye Poly color AT THE SAME TIME!

It’s essential to follow safety measures while dyeing and always read and adhere to the product instructions. Also, make sure you’re working in a well-ventilated area and wearing protective clothing where necessary to minimize these risks. In fact, it will colour almost anything synthetic, including plastics and nylons, buttons, frisbee discs, 3D printed objects, toys, dolls, wigs, cleats, urethane coatings and more. The dye itself worked great for what I used it for, compared to another popular brand I used it definitely dyed my fabric a dark black and it wasn't super streaky or anything.

Maybe to some this wouldn't be the worst event, but I keep my clothing/accessories for years and sometimes even decades. Dye fixatives can also be used after the regular dying process to help colors stay permanent and not fade. I'm also typing this with grey looking arms - this product even trashed my epidermis - luckily that'll wash off with soap though. The dye is great for bringing faded clothing back to life, changing a fabric’s colors, fixing stains or marks on clothing, and more. Fabric Resistance: Polyester is a synthetic fabric with a tight weave that often resists dye, making it difficult for colors to absorb effectively. Not only does it smell extremely toxic, but even a minor droplet will leave a very bad stain on anything.
