About this deal

Melee Weapon (Includes: Chainfist, Chainsword, Force Weapon, Lightning Claws, Power Fist, Power Weapon, Relic Blade and Thunder Hammer)

A Space Marine Tactical Squad is a multi-purpose unit, capable of engaging enemy forces at range with their bolters and boltguns, or in close combat with their chainswords and power fists. They are a versatile and well-rounded unit, able to take on almost any enemy. To build a Space Marine Tactical Squad, you will need: 1x Space Marine Captain 1x Space Marine Librarian 1x Space Marine Chaplain 1x Space Marine Apothecary 1x Space Marine Techmarine 1x Space Marine Sergeant 1x Space Marine Tactical Marine 9x Space Marine Bolters 1x Space Marine Heavy Bolter 1x Space Marine Missile Launcher 1x Space Marine Flamer 1x Space Marine Plasma Gun 1x Space Marine Multi-Melta 1x Space Marine Chainsword 1x Space Marine Power Fist 1x Space Marine Boltgun The first step is to assemble your core units. The captain and librarian will provide leadership and psychic support, while the chaplain will provide motivation and Inspiring Presence. The apothecary will keep the squad alive, and the techmarine will provide maintenance and repairs. The sergeant will lead the squad in combat. The next step is to choose your squad’s equipment. The bolters and boltguns are the mainstay of the Space Marine arsenal, and will be your primary weapons. The heavy bolter and missile launcher provide additional fire support, while the flamer and plasma gun offer alternatives for dealing with enemy infantry and vehicles. The chainsword and power fist are good options for close combat, while the boltgun can be used as a secondary weapon or for close range fire support. Once you have assembled your squad and chosen their equipment, you are ready to deploy them into battle! A full ten man Tactical squad may include a heavy weapon and a special weapon. Their sergeant, likewise, may select from the pistols, combi-weapons and melee weapons list. We’ll be going over the various selections, but they put a great deal of versatility in your squad.

Where’s Sarge?

Sergeant — Command Squads within each Company. Sergeants within the Chapter's 1st Company are known as Veteran Sergeants. [14b]

Enhancements: Here we see some classics such as Artificier Armour, which even gives a Feel No Pain save! As befits their flexible battlefield role, Tactical Squads take a variety of weaponry to the field of battle.Recruits are chosen from the best warriors among humanity. Naturally, this makes Feral Worlds prized recruitment grounds, as such harsh and primal conditions produce the best warriors. However, Hive Worlds are considered the ideal source of potential recruits, the populace of the lower levels composed of some of the most murderous scum in the human Imperium. Whole gangs of hive scum are sometimes hunted down and captured for recruitment. Among the most valued traits in a recruit are aggression and psychotic-level killer instinct. Much more rarely, certain Civilised Worlds are also recruited from. [4] [6]

Predator Destructor ( Predator Annihilator • Baal Predator) • Land Raider ( Land Raider Phobos • Land Raider Crusader • Land Raider Redeemer • Land Raider Achilles • Land Raider Prometheus • Land Raider Terminus Ultra • Land Raider Ares • Land Raider Excelsior • Land Raider Wrath of Mjalnar • Land Raider Angel Infernus • Land Raider Solemnus Aggressor • Land Raider Anvilarum) • Deimos Vindicator Laser Destroyer • Repulsor • Repulsor Executioner • Gladiator ( Gladiator Reaper • Gladiator Valiant • Gladiator Lancer) • Astraeus Rules: The Combat Doctrine rules are a set of three powerful abilities that can be activated in the Command Phase. Be careful of when you use them, as each one can only be used for a single turn. Objective markers represent objects of tactical or strategic import that both sides are attempting to secure, such as valuable artefacts, vital supplies or communications nodes. If a mission uses objective markers, it will state where they are located on the battlefield. These can be represented using any suitable marker, but we recommend using round markers that are 40mm in diameter. Whirlwind • Vindicator • Stalker • Hunter • Whirlwind Hyperios • Land Raider Helios • Thunderfire Cannon • Firestrike Servo-turret The last enhancement is the odd one out, but also one you’ll likely see fairly regularly. At 10 points, The Flesh is Weak is priced to move, and it gives the character of your choice the Feel No Pain 4+ ability. If you’ve got 10 points in your list, consider slamming this on a character you’d like to keep around a little longer after his Bodyguard gets nuked. StratagemsTerminator squads are drawn from the entire chapter's best and most experienced warriors. The veterans wear the uniquely powerful Terminator Armour. These squads are formed when circumstances necessitate the concentration of the Chapter's most capable warriors and potent equipment into one or more heavily-armed and powerful units. [7] Ranks

The traditional Codex Chapter is tactically organised into a number of different types of squad: Battleline Squads consist of either Tactical Squads or Primaris Intercessor Squads. Close Support Squads consist of either Assault Squads, Inceptor Squads, or Reiver Squads. Fire Support Squads consist of Devastator Squads, Desolation Squads, Hellblaster Squads, Eradicator Squads, or [29] Aggressor Squads. The squad types are equipped and trained to fulfill a specific battlefield role, each of the three types designed to complement each other on the battlefield to make a far more effective whole. In addition to these three squad types, veterans can be formed into Veteran or Terminator Squads, while the initiate Marines are formed into Scout squads. Gladius Task Force: The Index (and, thematically, Ultramarines) detachment is largely unchanged, featuring the same Combat Doctrines, Enhancements (Bolter Discipline is now Fire Discipline), and Stratagems as before. Chaplain — Warrior-Priests of a Chapter who oversee morale, discipline, and spiritual purity. [14b] Variations include Wolf Priests of the Space Wolves and Interrogator-Chaplains of the Unforgiven. Ultimately, though, the value of this detachment is limited by the quality of the datasheets that it’s built to support. And unfortunately, none of the veteran datasheets are particularly amazing, particularly in turns when they aren’t benefiting from the detachment rule. Enhancements Armed with bolters, grenades, and Codex Astartes-approved heavy and special weapons, Tactical Squads are superbly versatile strategic assets. Yet their greatest weapons are their indomitable spirit and their solar decades of combat experience -- invaluable virtues that combine with the battle-brothers' fearsome arsenal and superhuman physiques to render them amongst the greatest warriors in the galaxy.Neophyte — Space Marines in-training who have not become fully accepted Battle-Brothers. They are utilized in a Chapter's Scout Squads as a part of their training. [3a] Despite all of this, the codex still boasts the highest number of datasheets of any army – 80 core datasheets that any Space Marine army can use and 13 named characters for the various codex-compliant chapters. New Datasheets The designation began to be used in the wake of the reforms made to the Codex Astartes and the Adeptus Astartes themselves in the Era Indomitus after the resurrection of the Primarch Roboute Guilliman and the introduction of the Primaris Space Marines. One Space Marine Sergeant and four Space Marines make up the squad, which can grow to ten models with their expansion. The Space Marine’s salary is 13 points per unit (which equates to 65 points for the base squad). The Battle-ready Space Marine: Tactical And Assault Squads Heavy bolter: Another very common weapon from Warhammer 40,000’s past, heavy bolters have been given a new lease on life in 9th. Their damage has increased this edition to 2. This, once again allows them to engage all low and mid range targets. Any unsaved wounds also kill both regular and Primaris marines in standard armors.
