About this deal

I shall say I have CH Good Girl Legere on my other arm atm - very lovely gourmand, which I like, and is louder than BOE. I have the Black Opium EDT from a handful of years ago and really love it, got it on a fall cruise and so it takes me back to that vacation. My favorite of the Black Opium Flankers will always be the Floral Shock one (which unfortunately has been discontinued) but this comes in right behind it.

It is a perfect balance of vanilla and coffee, both perfectly separated yet they blend well together. This extreme version is, like another member mentioned, what the original should be: more coffee, less sweetness.

Maybe a little less than in the original, but too noticeable to let this pass as a traditional unisex fragrance. I swear, it’s witchcraft the way they’ve kept the notes separate so you can smell them simultaneously without them congealing into one singular smell. It's wearable but i probably won't be getting a full bottle once i burn through my 10ml travel bottle. The Jasmine starts to shine through and it dries down into pure pleasure, not for the faint hearted. I feel like the chocolate note is stronger here but it's not in a gourmand way, it's more dry, like cocoa powder.

This doesn't have the most intense projection, but I'm okay with that - coffee is a strong, bitter note, and I could see that being problematic for others if it's too aggressive. I was hoping that this version would be less floral and more coffee/cocoa, but it smells very similar to the original. At least it seems to last very long on the skin (I've had it on for over 7 hours now and still going strong). Read about this perfume in other languages: Deutsch, Español, Français, Čeština, Italiano, Русский, Polski, Português, Ελληνικά, 汉语, Nederlands, Srpski, Română, العربية, Українська, Монгол, עברית.Black Opium Extreme, I think, should be excellent for everyone, who seek dark, sensual fragrance without tons of vanilla or gourmand notes which seems to be everywhere now, so I'm really really happy with this reaveal of Black Opium which was dissapointed for me as too juvenile and simply 'nice' as Flowerbomb flanker for teenagers. I think it really depends on the weather, because sometimes I think it's too masculine (it's definitely unisex), but sometimes the dark coffee/cacao notes really shine, making it a lot more "mature" than the OG.

Not because of the sillage nor the projection, even though it sits close to my skin and doesn't leave much of a trail--- but just because it doesn't feel like there is anything distinct /lingering/ in BO Extreme.I think I like this one better :) On my skin, the coffee and bourbon vanilla notes are most noticeable. It reminds me of the time I didn't properly affix the lid on my Starbucks take out and accidentally poured half a scalding hot cappuccino into my snood so everytime I wear it I have a good laugh remembering my caffeineated woolens that stank all day and a certain nostalgia for coffee on cozy Autumn days wrapped in a soggy scarf sitting on a pebble beach. Experience the Eau de Parfum Extreme, a fearless evolution of Black Opium's original captivating floral gourmand scent. And deep seductive patcouli essence energised by the adrenaline boost of a black coffee accord to create a long-lasting, addictive and unique sensory trail.

Not sure if it’s something that would get me attention from guys, but my female friends tell me it fits me as I’m a big coffee drinker and love chocolate. For those seeking an extremely long-lasting fragrance that takes the signature Black Opium to the next level, YSL Beauty introduces Black Opium Eau de Parfum Extreme. So the predominant scent that remains on the skin is coffee beans with vanilla, while in the original it’s vanilla and notes like pear, raspberry, almond etc - at least on my skin. Projection has gone down to about 1" from my skin, but still some sillage and light projection a bit beyond that.

I don't know why I get a huge load of a juicy pear note in the beginning, but I do, and it isn't even listed in the notes. Black Opium Extreme EDP is more than just a fragrance - it is an invitation to embrace your inner strength and sensuality.
