About this deal

Forrest: This is a better end result for the white-and-blue suit, in my opinion. There’s a cool, simple “X” design with a great focus on function and form here that works for me with a nice inclusion of the classic colors. I don’t really have anything bad to say about it aside from that Scott’s proportions do look a little off–too big on top. Score: 8/10 Chris: As this is the costume Cyclops wore on the ’90s animated series, it’s the look that defined the X-Men’s leader for a generation of fans. Don’t get me wrong, it can look pretty badass when drawn by Jim Lee or another dynamic penciler, but take a closer look and it suffers from ’90s pouch-and-strap mania. What does Scott keep in all those pouches? Why the leg straps? Seriously, what purpose do those serve? They keep your pants on tight? And how exactly does that half-mask go stay on his head? It’s an interesting update of the classic costume, but I’ll take that one any day of the week. Score: 7/10 Considering Greece’s proximity to and dependence on the sea, it comes as no surprise that Poseidon is one of the oldest of the Greek gods. David: This costume makes some sense given the armor he’s wearing, although that hair has to get in the way when fighting. This look appears to be an evolution of Jim Lee’s design but darker and brooding. I say it’s about as good. Score: 6/10

After they saved New York from Apocalypse and his Horsemen, X-Factor finally ended their charade and exposed their cover to the media. They became celebrities and a thankful designer, whom the team had rescued earlier that day, created a new look for them. The new costumes were similar to the X-Terminator uniforms but had a different color scheme (in Scott's case, white-on-blue instead of yellow-on-blue. [X-Factor (1st series) #26] Chris: Hey kids, do you like flesh tubes? Not only is a Cyclops-Apocalypse hybrid something no one ever wanted to see, but this design is just downright ugly to look at. Really? No nose? Did people learn nothing from noseless Wolverine? In future appearances, Scottpocalypse was just all blue. Like blue body paint from head to toe. Such a lazy design for such an essential moment in Cyclops’ publishing history. Score: 1/10This adult Cyclops costume is a high quality costume designed by our expert costume designers and it will make you look like a real-life version of Polyphemus. The costume comes with a jumpsuit that has muscle padding in the chest, arms and legs. It also comes with a pair of gloves and a pair of boot covers to make your hands and feet look like bonafide cyclops hands. It also comes with a mask that has a giant eye on the front and a horn on the top. Put it all together, and you’ll be ready to show the world that you’re way cooler than Odysseus. In 1995, the X-universe changed dramatically. Due to Legion accidentally killing his father, Charles Xavier, in the past, he never lived to form the X-Men and history reshaped itself accordingly. In the new timeline, Apocalypse ruled the United States with an iron fist, while the X-Men were led by Magneto and Rogue. Well-known characters often appeared in unfamiliar roles, which was certainly the case for Cyclops. "Prelate Summers" wasn't the leader of the X-Men. Instead, he worked alongside Mister Sinister to serve the cause of Apocalypse, although readers soon found out that Scott's heroic side wasn't completely absent in this new reality: he had been helping people escape the slave pens for years. Forrest: There’s a good balance of colors and detail going on here, and for something that’s got so many things happening it’s surprisingly simple-looking. In the end, I think they would’ve been better served putting an extra red touch on the feet or hands, rather than you know… where it is. Score: 6/10

To infiltrate a villain organization, Cyclops came up with the cover identity of Eric the Red. Special circuits built into the helmet redirected his optic beams, making it seem as if they originated from his hands. [X-Men (1st series) #51-52] Of course, once the organization was defeated, Cyclops returned to his actual costume, while the Eric the Red identity was later used by two opponents of the X-Men. Chris: Bleh. While losing the bright yellow trunks was a move in the right direction, going from blue and yellow to blue and white was a pretty uninspired decision. This is like if vanilla ice cream was a costume. The “X” across the chest makes sense, but there are too many unnecessary lines–especially the one above his visor (which should have been a metallic white to keep with the theme). Score: 6/10 Jean Grey later redesigned the training uniforms and, while hers changed into a more feminine version, the ones the male X-Men wore more or less stayed the same. She only added a red belt and adjusted the yellow shirts so they no longer covered the entire upper body. [X-Men (1st series) #27] Eric: I know this look is popular, and I don’t dislike it, but… meh. Simple, sleek, relatively similar to his classic look, but not quite as good. This one is just fine for me. Score: 6/10Picture this. Giant Sentinels roaming the broken down streets. They blast anyone down who doesn't fit their idea of what humanity should be. If you're a little bit different than normal people, they might just blast you to ashes because they think you're a mutant. If you wear any kind of spandex superhero suit, you're definitely going to get blasted. It's a future we're not too thrilled about...and a future that Charles Xavier and the X-Men have been fighting to stop for decades! If only there was some way you could help out...
