After the first 20 minutes or so, once the mandarin has died down it becomes linear - a sweet fresh clean fragrance with some soapiness. This one got my attention because of the reputation of perfumer Annick Menardo, the good reviews and the simple notes. So, it’s more of a green amber cologne with a sprits of coconut not a freshly cut or coconut milk but more of a smooth and I mean smooth af coconut. I love coconut scents, Calvin Klein now, socal hollister (it smells very close to this), Victoria tease is amazing btw it’s for women but it’s just intoxicating. The mythical aquatic fragrance of all time adds an Intense version to its family, this fragrance is a masculine "Eau de Parfum" belonging to the Oriental Citrus olfactory family.

For me, who doesn't like these modern and no longer distinguishable fresh-fruity-sweet scents at all, this one is more than wearable. The citrus that defines the fragrance has been handpicked and harvested by a community in the Vale Do Caí in Brazil, as part of a sustainable sourcing partnership monitored by the perfume creator. It’s absolutely not refreshing at all and I can imagine that Cool Water lovers are immensely disappointed with this Intense version. I really wish people didn’t upvote such preposterous mentions of what colognes might smell like on here.Projecting pretty good for about 3 hours, compliments recieved multiple times, even on the outside occasions. Because there it is again, this penetrating liquorice artificiality of L'Eau Majeure d'Issey, which has nothing to do with coconut for my well-being, and which is also found in L'Eau Majeure d'Issey Shade of Sea. After numerous Cool Water Flankers of the masculine and feminine kind, I had already ticked off CW, when I was told that "the new one" should be a "good one".

The performance of this fragrance is above average, as it lasts for at least 6 hours on my skin, with good projection for the first 2 hours. The thing I enjoy the most about it is that you get the coconut and amber notes together rather than one after the other.Davidoff Cool Water Intense For Men is a simple, but very intense blend of notes, where each layer is detectable in its clean delight.
