About this deal

Because of Poly’s robust software and device management, the Poly Sync 20’s rich audio experience will only continue to get better over time through updates. This sleek, compact device was designed to be flexible – so you can work from anywhere and be guaranteed the best Microsoft Teams experiences. For more information about Poly’s solutions for Microsoft Teams, visit https://www.poly.com/microsoft. On the surface, the Poly Sync 20 seems to be the more technologically advanced, and potentially the better sounding conference phone. After all, it has three microphones that are “steerable” where the Jabra Speak 710 has a single microphone. Does this translate to superior sound? I did sound tests on both. Specifically, I did these tests:

Poly Sync 20+: PC via USB-A or USB-C cable (depending on model) or wirelessly via included BT600 Bluetooth adapter; smartphone via Bluetooth The main purpose of the device is to provide anyone working from a laptop with a way to improve their audio and microphone quality for calls and video conferences. In this respect, the Sync 20 delivers on its promise. Poly Sync’s 20-hour battery life lets you work on-the-go all day. The speaker’s USB port connects to your smartphone, allowing you to stay charged up and ready for your next move. Hopefully that means something to you. For me, I just want it to work well and sound great. Whichever version of Bluetooth is used, is fine by me. But that’s just my opinion because different versions of Bluetooth could make a difference in the right situation. But that’s well beyond my pay grade. Wireless range PC via USB-A or USB-C cable (depending on model) or wirelessly via included BT600 Bluetooth adapter(Sync 20+ models only); smartphone via Bluetooth

Call quality: Works great across the room

You can’t go wrong with either of these models, as both are of high quality and manufactured by reputable companies. Determine what your specific needs are and then use the information brought out in this review, and others, to help form your buying decision. Although the BT600 Bluetooth dongle that comes with the Sync 20 is the same one that comes with various other Poly products, a single dongle cannot tether to multiple devices at once. This means that if you want to switch between the Sync 20 and a Poly headset, you’ll need multiple dongles plugged into your PC or laptop. Performance

Customize Your Collaboration Experience – The Poly Sync 20 works the way you do thanks to a programable button that puts your favorite function at your fingertips. Create shortcuts to easily play/pause music, redial the last number called, and bring up voice assistant to streamline your workflow — it’s up to you.As our professional lives continue to trend toward hybrid working models, the need to sound professional is paramount. And let’s face it – the audio that comes through your laptop and smartphone isn’t great. Meaning, to sound professional, you’ll need professional-grade communication tools. Introducing the Poly Sync 20 USB/Bluetooth® smart speakerphone, designed specifically for today’s professional – it’s sleek, compact, and filled with smart features you might not even realize you need. After you’ve done your research, you’re likely going to get to a point where you decide that you want a speakerphone that’s affordable, sounds good and has decent features.

Poly Sync 40: PC via combined USB-A and USB-C cable; smartphone via Bluetooth. Poly Sync 40+: PC via combined USB-A and USB-C cable or wirelessly via included BT600 Bluetooth adapter; smartphone via BluetoothHopefully you found some value in this side by side comparison. Have further questions, or need some help? However, beyond shifting the device from room to room to accommodate a flatmate or family member, it’s difficult to imagine a scenario in which portability will prove all that useful. Owners are unlikely to take the Sync 20 to an office or coffee shop, where it would be impolite to play meeting audio out loud, and much more likely to keep it on their desk at home Features

The Poly Sync 20 and the Jabra Speak 710 are both designed to work with computers, mobile phones and tablets. They both can connect to a computer via the included USB cable, or they can connect via a USB dongle. The Speak 710 comes with the dongle, where the Poly Sync 20 offers it as an option. Freedom to Move – Don’t get us wrong, headsets are great. But everyone has their own way that they like to work and sometimes it’s necessary to have the freedom to get up and move around in the home office and not wear a headset all day. When it’s time for a change of scenery, the Poly Sync’s 20-hour battery life is in for the long-haul. And don’t worry, we made sure to make it dust and water-resistant, so you can get up and go worry-free – even if right now, all that means is moving to your patio. Use it in Your Off Time – The Sync 20 is not just a speakerphone, it’s also a high-performance speaker that can be used for listening to music. That’s right – the bass reflex system that ensures high-quality, natural-sounding voice is also responsible for making your tunes sound great in your downtime.Though both of these speakerphones look professional, I have to say that the Poly Sync 20 has a more refined look. It’s nicely appointed with a fabric material that covers a good portion of it. The rest of the device is reserved for control buttons. That said, looks will only take you so far, so let’s look further. Bluetooth Version
