About this deal

Manufacturers have tried to mitigate this by producing higher refresh rates and low-latency panels, but the sharpness of a moving image is still not quite up to the mark due to LCD’s inherent limitations. The DyAc+ mode worked very well in practice at further enhancing the visual experience for gaming and reducing blur. We found settings between 11-18 represented a sweet spot where response time and inverse ghosting coexisted well, before causing issues. A TN panel, no matter how good it is, is never going to live up to a good IPS panel when it comes to the overall image quality, and that’s something that you should take into account when considering this monitor.

A CIE-1976 chromaticity diagram (which provides improved accuracy compared with older CIE-1931 methods) is included which provides a visual representation of the monitors colour gamut coverage triangle as compared with sRGB, and if appropriate also relative to a wide gamut reference space such as DCI-P3.

The other interesting comparison we’ve included here is against a 240Hz OLED panel we had chance to see in person earlier this year, featured in the Corsair Xeneon Flex 45WQHD240. I want to accompany this previous paragraph with a (pretty obvious to some, but I’ll mention it anyway) disclaimer: this won’t make you an aiming God if you’re coming from a 240Hz monitor, or a good 360Hz IPS monitor.

The stand is at least versatile and offers a good range of adjustments, and a few extra design features like the headphone hook and carry handle will be useful to some people. Testing of some modes might be based on a different gamma but we will state that in the commentary if applicable. I have absolutely no problem with this whatsoever, as this monitor is aimed at serious competitive gamers, and no serious competitive gamer is going to be using monitor speakers for gaming, but it’s handy to know regardless. Interface yang didesain ulang memampukanAnda untuk menyesuaikan pengaturan FPS mana yang ingin Anda akses dengan cepat melalui quick menu, dan kemudian memungkinkan Anda untuk mengaksesnya dengan satu sentuhan. The screen actually defaults to 100% brightness when you turn DyAc+ on, so you will probably want to turn this down to something more comfortable, but it does give you a nice bright image and a wide adjustment range to play with, unlike many blur reduction modes on other screens which are often very dark.Coverage is shown in absolute numbers as well as relative, which helps identify where the coverage extends beyond a given reference space. We did disable ECO mode (which you have to disable to get in to the OSD menu anyway) and also turned off DyAc+ as we don’t want the blur reduction backlight being active for static and desktop use, or while we’re trying to take these measurements. If you don’t want to go that route, you can also use ZOWIE’s XL Setting to Sharefeature, allowing you to upload (and download) settings profiles so that you can import settings profiles on the fly without having to tinker with the menus. There are adjustable site screens on either side of the display to protect your peripheral vision from distractions.

On the BenQ with these measurements there is a good 80% compliance, but on the Asus it’s lower at 60% (80% if we add a small leeway of 1ms).In the last couple of years with the focus being so heavily on IPS and VA technology, those panels have actually surpassed TN Film in their refresh rate capabilities. Because DyAc+ Technology helps eliminate a significant amount of motion blur on the XL2566K, this aids gamers in various ways depending on the game they are playing.
