About this deal

We have the 400 and it's up very quickly with the Breeze apart from 2 occasions now when I haven't closed a tap properly. We have the Vango Varkala and I can inflate it in less time than it would take me to get an electric pump out of the boot and plug the thing in. I would very much doubt they would have replaced it with the Gale until they were satisfied the Gale was a much better piece of kit. Ok by all means use them if you can't manage a manual pump but if you are so unfit should you really be dragging about a heavy air awning! We put ours up this afto in the storage area cos I wanted to fit the Kampa 'Clingons' before our next trip and, although I didn't time it, it was only a few minutes or so. Air Pumps are an essential piece of equipment for inflating air beds, inflatable tents, kayaks, and other inflatable items.Just been away for the past 5 days and it was the maiden voyage for my Kampa Frontier Air Pro and the Kampa Gale pump, Both of these put in a flawless performance, The pump is certainly easier than the hand pump and the awning was no harder to thread on the van than my 390 air, No water ingress or condensation in the awning even though we had some squally showers over the wknd, All in all i am happy with both purchases. once I had found out that some idiot had tried to inflate it with one of the release valves open, doh! I believe this pump has now been around for about 12 months and am looking for any feedback on its use (speed, reliability, etc) Had the Kampa Breeze which packed up after 13 months and 3 x use. As the 12V outlet in the van is restricted to 4A and will obviously draw power from the van battery, I always use the car socket and keep the engine running whilst it's pumping. Our extensive range of camping air pumps are perfect for pumping up camping air beds and also the new air tents and awnings.

Just wondering if any "more mature" caravanners here use an electric pump or manage with a manual pump. I have a Kampa fiesta pro and find it doesn't take as long to blow it up manually than using a 12v pump and the kampa pump will not over inflate the tubes. If for any reason we are unable to honour this commitment then we will endeavour to inform you as soon as possible.

We came to the conclusion that those offered by Sunncamp offered the best compromise between cost and quality. The Kampa Gale pump is not a two stage pump therefore no high/low pressure, The downfall of the two stage pumps are when they meet any constriction in the air beams they they go into high pressure low volume setting which means it takes a lot longer to inflate the awning. Wasn’t sure if the 12v cable would reach from our caravan 12v socket to the end of our Ace air 400 but it does no problem.
