About this deal

When I smell it on my skin after it's been settled for a while I start to remember the watery Vercace Dylan Blue that everyone has, but it's not that strong. The bottle: The Armani Code Eau de Parfum bottle boasts the same purity of line that is a signature of the Armani Code collection. I don't get star anise from this either- it doesn't smell like black licorice like le male la parfum (YUCK). Both Drakkar and Code have their purposes (as well as imitations) but if nostalgia and everything else were of no concern I'd probably go Drakkar Noir. Lets start a drinking game with how many times I say summer in this review I was kind of disappointed that they were out of the 1oz bottle as I usually have to consciously try to remember to put perfume on I really dont wear it often enough but Im so glad I got the 1.

This is expressed in the fragrance's aromatic top notes and powerfully masculine base notes, with the heart now infused with an amplified sensitivity. I remember when it came out, nothing like it in the market, people where asking me what do you have on.Until about close to 10+ hours later when I noticed that i had a faint scent when I got home amazingly and maybe by pure chance I got a good batch but the scent was firmly planted on my skin and smelled way better than the first handful of hours. Regardless of how good it smells (which it does - very refined masculine leather scent), it doesn't matter as the performance and projection is -terrible- to the point that there is almost no chance anybody will smell it on you 30 minutes after application. A pleasant, zesty opening is immediately joined by tonka and leather, leading to some minutes of interesting contrast. I would say that it is even underrated when competing with the numerous more bold Armani "Profumos", "Profondos" and "Absolutes". This Parfum version though is in my top 5 scents right now, a solid 9/10 for me, highly recommended.

Strong yet sensitive, Armani Code PARFUM reinvents the olfactory signature of the original Armani Code fragrance. The dry down smells like cruising in an old Mercedes on a cold night - the leather accord is warm but darker than most. I have a bit over 200 high end fragrances and wonder why I haven’t been wearing this at least a little more often. If I had just gone by the reviews here and the note breakdown, I wouldn't have even got a sample of this.

The scent reminds me of a slightly sunny winter morning, with its soft brightness and mild sweetness. The base refers to the original Armani Code For Men EDT with a blend of Sandalwood, Tonka Bean and Cedar. Longevity is around 4 to 5 hours with moderate sillage for the first hour and then intimate sillage for the remainder of its life. It doesn’t perform too well, with only about an hour of projection, and about 4-5 hours on skin (about 5-6 sprays).
