It is especially great on metal objects and this is what I use it for the bulk of the time. I love using it on old light fixtures, drawer pulls and more. What does Rub n Buff do?

Instead, Rub ‘n Buff has more variety in metallic finishes such as silver and gold, with a few surprise color splashes that include patina and ruby.

RECOMMENDED SUPPLIES: Makeup brush — Obviously you won’t be using it on your face again, so don’t use your favorite brush! It must be stiff and not fluffy (a blending brush works well) and you’ll want super fine/soft bristles for best results. If you don’t have any handy, I love this inexpensive brush set and use it for makeup, but the stiffer large brushes will work for this project. Make sure the makeup brush is completely clean and dry.

Yes, Rub-n-Buff is permanent, so make sure you’re certain about your decision before you start applying! Like all paints and finishes, it can still be scratched or chipped, so take care with your finished surfaces. Immediately buff it off in rough areas with a soft cloth. See photo below for an example before buffing.
