One thing to consider is future-proofing. If you expect this footage to still be relevant 5 or more years from now, think about what might happen if YouTube improves their service. This has happened in the past - they didn't initially offer HD video storage, for example. So if you choose to shoot lower-quality video today based on the fact that it will be posted to YouTube you may come to regret it in the future. The trade-off between low-light capability and resolution is an interesting one. I can easily imagine low-noise SD footage looking better than noisy HD footage. But that's a function of your camera and the lenses you have, not SD vs. HD. The obvious thing to do is to take your own footage under conditions similar to those you foresee shooting in and then compare them to see which looks better. But old video wasn't good enough, even then, and to be honest, today's 1080 HD probably isn't quite there yet, either. Otherwise, why would there be such a push to 2.7k and 4k? Yet most stills cameras seem to have settled on around 20mp, and 12mp is plenty for most things. Can you live with standard definition? Pretty much any consumer camera can record an image with higher resolution these days, although it might fall short on other factors such as connectivity, low light capabilities, etc. (function (p) { return p.toString() === "[object SafariRemoteNotification]"; })(!window['safari']

!!window.opera Starting with the basics, the immediate differences are quite apparent i.e it's a shoulder cam, has a much better quality mic than the xm2 or equivalent and has interchangeable lens's. The Canon XL2 features the exclusive XL interchangeable lens-mount system, which enables users to select the most appropriate lens for each individual shooting situation. In addition to exclusive interchangeable video lenses, when outfitted with an optional EF mount adapter, the system also permits the use of a range of Canon EF lenses for EOS 35mm SLR cameras. var isOpera = (!!window.opr && !!opr.addons) If you can!, try and get a model with the wide angle lens or try to make room for it in your budget!. Sean's comment about future-proofing, and Francis' about watching quality footage seem to point to that. expireDaysIfYes: typeof mcxPresetParam.expireDaysIfYes === 'number' ? mcxPresetParam.expireDaysIfYes : 30, //days The remote is about the size of space, xl1s remotes are often in trouble for creating solar eclipse's so bare that in mind if your going to take it out with you. I only use imovie to edit and just want to film holidays, my children, family events etc is this any good for me??
