About this deal
The firm added that last year, it was the only mainstream brand to sell a tub weighing more than 700g, and that the tub still remains one of the heaviest on the market. What’s more, you will be able to purchase throughout the year, whether it’s for Easter or birthday gifts, as a thank you, or simply to surprise someone with a tin of what you know are their favourites. The brand has been working to improve the sustainability of its operations and supply chain for well over a decade. John Lewis is once again offering Brits the chance to personalise their own tub of Quality Streets this Christmas.
The brand has used only certified sustainably sourced cocoa since 2015, and Quality Street chocolate is made from milk sourced from farms in Scotland that have been part of a sustainable farming partnership with Nestlé since 2003.From early 2023, all sweets will be wrapped in paper apart from the Green Triangle and Orange Chocolate Crunch, which will remain in their recyclable foil wrappers. Louise Barrett, Head of the Nestlé Confectionery Product Technology Centre in York, said: "With nine different sweets to consider, the transition has been a huge undertaking. What’s more, by moving from two layers to a single paper wrap, we’ll remove two billion pieces of packaging material by 2023 and rest assured, all your favourites inside remain unchanged! Visitors to the site can select up to six different sweets or opt for the classic Quality Street mix.
Some chocolate-lovers may be perturbed to learn that their favourite source of chocolate indulgence over the Christmas period has been reduced in weight by 70g, having shrunken in size on several occasions in recent years. You are advised to always read the product label for ingredients, nutrition, dietary claims and allergens. We think we’ve done a really good job with the redesign, and feel confident that people will respond positively. In the lead up to the festive season, the Nestlé-produced confectionery brand has revealed a revamped look for its much-loved tub of sweets.Today’s news is the latest exciting instalment in the Quality Street story and we hope it will make the brand feel closer to all its fans, old or new. It is this belief that fuels our commitment to use our global scale, resources and expertise to contribute to a healthier future for people and the planet.
