So let’s clear up one of our most-used terms. How is a single-skinned building constructed? I was reading Tuin’s take on materials… Now, normally I’m not all bitchy and jumping on other people’s efforts BUT! Maybe it’s not even for you, but a ‘child’ that just won’t leave, no matter how many hints you drop. The crucial thing to know about summerhouses is that they are single-skinned buildings. They have a single layer of timber that forms their walls and roof, and this single layer is all that stands between you and the elements.
