About this deal

It is interrupted by a nearby water tower falling on the church, allowing Wax to put off the marriage.

This is my favourite in the Alloy era, lots of twists and turns, amazing locations and lots of lovable new characters that I can't wait to read more about them in the final book. Meanwhile, Marasi has figured out that the spearhead from the statue is the actual Bands of Mourning. Sanderson wrote the first third of Shadows of Self between revisions of A Memory of Light from The Wheel of Time series. The best book so far in Mistborn Era 2 still doesn't come close to reaching the heights of Mistborn Era 1.It's really been a very long while since I was this taken by a female character and I applaud Sanderson for nailing it this time-a woman who is "so full of logic and yet so full of wonder at the same time".

During the later half of 2014 Brandon was having difficulty getting back into the story for Shadows of Self, he had previously written a third or so of it in 2012 between drafts of A Memory of Light. No sólo veo que la era 1 y la era 2 de Mistborn van a confluir en The Lost Metal, sino que tarde o temprano los mundos del Cosmere empezarán a confluir también. Ultimately, I feel as if the only real thing that was accomplished in this book is that it increased the scope of the series and the Cosmere, but in true middle-book syndrome, this didn't do much else except set things up for the finale.Sometimes they have always existed, sometimes they are the offspring of elder gods, sometimes they are mortals who have ascended to godhood.

There were new characters and adventures in a fascinating new time period, but in a world his fans had already fallen in love with. Coinshot couriers weren't an uncommon sight in Elendel, and men soaring through the air were rarely a point of interest.and along the way discovers hints that point to the true goals of his uncle Edwarn and the shadowy organization known as The Set . It is the penultimate installment to the second era of Mistborn Saga, and I have a feeling The Lost Metal will deliver a more superior and satisfying volume to the series. In Mistborn, the local god Harmony has taken a bit of a special interest in Wax (if you have to ask who Wax is, I suggest you read The Alloy of Law and Shadows of Self first), using him to achieve Harmony's agenda. All the other characters had their moments to shine, especially Marasi who has been dealing with her identity in the shadow (rightly or wrongly) of Wax. Steris was my most improved character in Shadows of Self and in Bands of Mourning she really continues to charm me with her lists, wonder and overthinking of every situation.

But somehow as Wax has come to care about her more so have I and it is official I have changed ships and actually love Wax and Steris for each other now. Sanderson is crafting an extremely well-thought out saga with Mistborn, one that looks to stand above the pack of his literary peers. I didn’t (read it after „Alloy of Law“) and since it does spoilers for this installment, you’d ruin yourself of one of the biggest surprises here (although I still loved it anyway). The magic system is perfectly detailed, the world, though not completely revealed, has a great sense of natural logic to it, and the characters are a reflection of both. In my review of Brandon Sanderson’s The Alloy of Law, the first book of the Wax and Wayne era of Mistborn, I stated that this second era was lighter and less serious than the original trilogy. I can't mention specifics because they're all spoilers, but if you're craving the standard pulse-pounding Sanderlanche, you will be getting one here.
