I remember being super excited to get the parcel delivered as the Majestouch 2 was going to be my first ‘proper keyboard’. Well I hated the browns; found them mushy, plodding, cranky switches; had a visceral reaction against them. Random point I was trying to determine ahead of purchase but could not anywhere online: the Majestouch2 is made in Taiwan, not Japan.

The way the key moves allows you to be much gentler, which lets you be faster, while also being more precise. Overall, the Filco Majestouch 2 is the closest thing users will get to an endgame prebuilt keyboard that works perfectly for any task. I’d used and reviewed the Keychron K2 before, but that was a TKL, this was my first full sized mechanical keyboard.

I have replaced the keycaps on at least one occasion, not including when I swapped the default ones for blanks, and it still does its job well. It seems to target the key attributes needed for use as a typing keyboard and delivers them perfectly. The technology industry is pretty damaging as it is, so it’s good to see at least one company not overloading me with useless single use plastic. And for the UK layout: I worked with the English International layout for a long time but having a larger enter button is just perfect. Until very recently I have been using a Ducky Shine One with Cherry Blue switches that I got to replace Apple's Magic Keyboard 2 a couple of years ago.

claudio16/07/2020I bought a gaming keyboard so that i always get the key stroke logged as fast as possible, unfortunately these fancy RNG keyboards just dont hold up. Philippe17/09/2020I bought this keyboard in Mar2014, exclusively for work (I'm a programmer), 2 years after I got a blue switch model for home.When I first unboxed it and pretended to type I wasn't so sure if it was worth the money, but once I put it in front of the computer and started using it in real life I really noticed how much faster I could type and the response was much much better. PC : When installing with a wired connection, please use a DOS/V personal computer that has a USB port.
