Neale argues that nonetheless our lives here should not be ended against our will. We come here to learn something and our lives should not be “cut short by some maniacal hoodlum with insane ideas”. In Walsch's first dialogue, God notes that "knowing" and "experiencing" oneself are different things. Before creation, there was only That-Which-Is, which cannot know or experience itself fully without something it is not. It cannot know itself as love since nothing exists but love. It cannot know itself as giving since nothing else exists to give to. It cannot experience itself in myriad ways because everything is one. In this book, the author tells about his views on celibacy, the taboo of sex, tantric sex, and myths surrounding it. Yet in the realm of the absolute—as opposed to the realm of the relative, in which you live—it is very clear that the one truth which is All There Is sometimes produces an effect which, viewed in relative terms, looks like a contradiction. This is called Divine Dichotomy”

He reminds us that no-one does anything evil, given his model of the world. All are doing the best they can at any given moment. Here I would have liked Neale to ask God about serial killers and how it is that they feel they are doing the best they can, since I think He might have elucidated a few things for us, better proved his point. How is it that they believe they are doing good?Hitler’s actions were the action of an unevolved being and mistakes are not punishable by condemnation but dealt with by providing “the chance for correction, for evolution”. Everything that occurs is the outward physical manifestation of our innermost “thoughts, choices, ideas and determinations.”

The world is rapidly approaching this turning point. We are coming to understand that God is the Only and Original Source. Now all that we need to do is understand, as well, that there is no separation between God and us. When we grasp at last this foundational understanding, when we embrace, finally, this basic truth, we will change ourselves, change our relationships, and change the world. The FACT is: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, James, Peter, Jude (it's another Jude, not the one who sold Jesus to the romans), they wrote in the New Testament, they were some of the first disciples of Jesus Christ, of course they lived in the era of Jesus Christ! Neale's "god" said that GOD isn't a creator but just an observer. Come on!! On top of everything, there must be A CREATOR. Even the founder of Quantum Mechanical theory and all top notch scientists cannot explain where did the atoms that formed almost everything in this world come from, or why was this universe formed the way it is. The last time i watched BBC, even those physicians admitted that atoms seemed to come out of nothingness and that the universe, galaxies, and so human beings happen to be just a cosmic accident. Don't you think it's ironic and irrational?? God creates everything. And do you know that the universe is actually still expanding at an accelerating rate?? HE really meant it when He said "Let there be light!" Though God tells us that the universe has always existed, as have we ourselves, at one point he states: “There will be another so-called Big Bang, and another universe will be born”. This is a contradiction!

God gives Neale/us a tool by which to change his/our consciousness – Act as if we were all one. We should see everyone as ourselves, just having a difficult time. Then start acting as though there were enough. The book helped to make me aware of the fact that the whole of life is REALLY just a play and the only real work here on this planet is to discover who it is we really are. Ultimately, as stated by God, we have selected situations in our lives, at the time of birth, which will form the fertile grounds for rediscovering the truth of who it is we really are. This is also stated in book 1. Strangely this matches my life! So strange it kind of amazes me especially when I replay all and arrive at "today!" God is imagined to be all good, so we deny half of Him. Bad is necessary so that one can choose the Good. And so, we seek what is not there, for everything we seek to find in life must have been placed there by us. If we have not placed it, we cannot find it. What we do not place into life, we do not find, because we are the Only Source There Is. And you’re right. That’s exactly how it works. So when you want something, give it away. You will then no longer be "wanting” it. You will immediately experience "having” it. The words to the next song you hear. The information in the next article you read. The story line of the next movie you watch. The chance utterance of the next person you meet. Or the whisper of the next river, the next ocean, the next breeze that caresses your ear - all these devices are Mine; all these avenues are open to Me. I will speak to you if you will listen. I will come to you if you will invite Me. I will show you then that I have always been there. So, now I was beginning to see where Walsch was going with all this. He was teaching a loving God, one who doesn’t punish. I will give him credit for that much. But I question as to whether his God loves. No loving God would desire to feel pain and suffering. No loving God would say that there is no right or wrong, because by believing this people end up hurting each other. But from the cosmic viewpoint (the realm of the Absolute, of Gods), killings don’t matter. From the cosmic viewpoint, fish is being eaten by a bigger fish, fire is breaking into a forest and claiming lives, stars are colliding against each other and new nebulas are born, and humans are killing one another. Do you see where we stand then? Cosmically, it is all okay!
