Thompson sighs and settles in his own chair, knowing a lost cause when he sees one. That makes me even more uneasy, because if he's giving up this fight, it means there's a bigger one coming. This upsets Reed, and tensions rise until Ella suggests they all call a truce. Reed reluctantly agrees. Ella is asked out on a date by Daniel Delacorte, and she accepts despite warning signs. Daniel is superficially charming, but he drugs Ella and attempts to sexually assault her. The Royal brothers rescue her and exact revenge on him, proving to Ella that they’re starting to become a real family. Settled into the Royals’ castle high upon the hill she is faced with five handsome princes, Gideon, Reed, Easton, Sawyer and Sebastian none too happy to see her. The story goes on to follow them at school, home and the party scene, as Ella gets to know a little bit about each brother. Unlikely friendships are formed, lines drawn, truces forged and suitor aligning themselves with each prince having a stake. I'm blessed with my mother's body. Long legs. Nipped-in waist. My boobs aren't double-D spectacular, but George said he liked my perky B-cups because they give the illusion of youth. It's not an illusion, but my identification says I'm thirty-four and that my name isn't Ella Harper but Margaret Harper. My dead mom. Super creepy if you stop to think about it, which I try not to.

If you are a guilty-pleasure reader, staaahp what you are doing and read this book already while I am here.... eagerly waiting. Waiting for the second book.I have to admit, I didn't expect to like this book, but it has a Hana Yori Dango (Meteor Garden, Boys Over Flowers, whatever you call it) sort of vibe. "...all it takes is one word from him and you’ll be nothing here. Insignificant. Invisible. Or worse.”This is no brilliant work of literature, believe me, but what it was is utterly entertaining. The reason I compare it to Hana Yori Dango (HYD) is the premise. It's a bit different, but the similarity is still there.

Not to be slut shaming but DAMN this boy gets around. Bit of a sexist pig, but he's still my uncontested favorite Royal! Easton has a sweet side to him. Reed seems determined to keep Ella from settling comfortably into her new charmed life amongst the rich kids of Malibu. But what is Reed hiding? Ella is just as determined to come through it all with her soul intact.Andddddddddddd then that's when all the crazy starts to happen. Between the lust-filled moments, the revenge, and the twists, my head was spinning! Once I finished, my mind was reeling with theories, trying to figure out who is in on what, what everyone's motives really are, who's lying, who's being set up. And I am STILL thinking about it. I loved every single character in this (I didn't forget you Easton. You stole my heart!), both good and evil. This looks suspicious as hell, and my gut is telling me to get out of here. But if I run, I'll be giving up on this careful life I've spent months planning. The sound of my voice jolts him out of his hypnosis. He strides forward and, before I can move, has my right hand clasped between his two. Thompson sighs. "All right, Ella, why don't you go to class? Clearly Mr. Royal and I have more matters to discuss."
