About this deal

There is no doubt that we kept bringing up the SE-207-XT Advanced, and that is because, currently, it is the class leader. However, that does not mean that is the end of the discussion. The 207 does not make concessions for anything, really. It is a large dual-tower design with loud fans, and while performance is king, we hope you are cool using low-profile RAM because ID-Cooling felt it wasn't that big of a deal. This is where a cooler like the FUMA 2 Rev.B stands out. It can run close to the competition but also makes concessions to RAM clearance and eases off the noise emitted into your ears. It still had a great cooling performance on it but I just wanted to squeeze more out of it WITHOUT messing with the PBO curves. Both of the Kaze Flex 120 II fans use a sealed fluid dynamic bearing (Sealed Precision FDB) that reduces friction and wear to a minimum thanks to a special oil film. Rubberised pads covering the frame have a decoupling effect and prevent the transmission of noise and vibrations to the case. H.P.M.S. IV (Hyper Precision Mounting System IV)

My apologies for making more than one post about this. I can be a bit indecisive at times and I am not the most knowledgable on CPU coolers that work with NR200 builds. I've owned a Noctua D15 (dual fan version) for awhile now and when I finally saw that Scythe released a version 2 of the fuma I was curious and decided to get it and test it out. It's been years since I last used a Scythe cooler. Before installing the Fuma 2 I ran a thermal benchmark using an absolute worst case unrealistic, brutal load and for that, Prime95 AVX with "Small FFTs" option was the obvious choice. My processor is a Intel I9 9900K with a P1 TDP manually set to 140 watts and a P2 of 175 Watts manually set in the bios. For monitoring I used HWINFO64 and let the test run for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes these where the results: Estoy encantado de decir que este ventilador está funcionando a la perfección. Mantiene mi CPU a una temperatura óptima incluso durante las tareas más exigentes. No más preocupaciones por el sobrecalentamiento. The improved asymmetrical design allows unrestricted use of any front high RAM slot, and the cut-out fin design gives highly clearance(54mm) of the rear RAM slot(LGA2011/2066). Standing only 154mm tall, the cooler fits most Mini ITX motherboards on the market such as ROG Strix Z690I.

So after initial testing I decided to see how much better the heatsink would be if I swapped the front 15MM fan with a full size 25MM fan. Since I have an extra Noctua NF-A12x25 from my previous project I had as shown in an older pic attached to this review to show my previous D15, I opted to use it. The A12 has a static pressure rating of 2.34 mmH2O so its a nice increase over the 15MM 0.9 mmH2O. I was really curious to see how well it performs with just one on the Fuma 2 because in the past I tried two of the A12's on my D15 and it barely a made difference. Only a 1-2C drop. After another 20 minute test these were the results: Pretty impressive but for my daily driving I decided to just keep the dual fan config with the A12 in the front and the Kaze Flex 25mm in the center. It's a much cleaner look. And its even more impressive that it was only 3 - 4C difference compared to the D15 dual fan version considering the D15 has more surface area along with bigger, stronger fans compared to the Fuma 2. The Fuma 2 fans only offer 0.9 (15mm) and 1.05 (25mm) mmH2O static pressure vs the 1.5 mmH2O of the Noctua NF-A15 PWM fans. That means the Fuma 2 heatsink is incredibly efficient at removing heat. Performance-wise, my previously used Mugen 5 Rev.B with 5800X3D on Cinebench multicore test would immediately hit its threshold limit of 90c within the first 15 seconds. In my previous post, most people recommended the Fuma 2. After doing some research I’ve found that these two Scythe coolers are my best options in terms of price to performance. Performance-wise, they are fairly similar. Fuma has slightly better performance. Mugen has better noise levels. Mugen is cheaper. Sin embargo, debo mencionar que la limpieza puede ser un proceso algo complejo debido a su diseño. Asegurarse de que no se acumule polvo en las aletas puede ser un desafío.

Scythe, the leading Japanese brand of CPU cooling products, after a long period of waiting, is announcing the new Kaze Flex II Case Fan Series for DIY enthusiasts in America. Based the prestigious Kaze Flex I ample airflow volume/silence operation concept, Kaze Flex II is carefully redesigned its fan frame under a minor change of appearance, but with greater impact. The trusted Kaze Flex II fans was applied on SCYTHE flagship Dual-Tower CPU air cooler Fuma 2 Rev.B which was awarded as the best CPU cooler of the year by various professions and many reputable IT reviewers. Considering the 207 had the pleasure of taking air from a matched pair of 25mm fans, it is easy to see where the thermal advantage comes from, but all things considered, we feel that the Scythe FUMA 2 Rev.B is the obvious choice of the two. To top it all off, they are nearly identical in cost, so it's down to big and bulky, or big, but pleasant, you make the call. In addition to the mounting upgrade kit, most current Scythe coolers will also include LGA1700 mounting materials soon. As mentioned from other reviewer, install the larger fan that goes between the two fin towers before mounting as there are tiny cut out portion on the fins for the screw driver.

Measuring only 80mm in depth, the slim asymmetric heatsink tower design offers 100% full clearance for RAMs and will not overhang the VRM heatsink of motherboards in the rear. This feature and SCYTHE latest HPMS V Lite Mounting System make Kotetsu Mark 3 highly compatible with the latest AM5 motherboards for AMD Ryzen 7000 Zen 4 and LGA1700 motherboards for Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake. Apparently there was a tad bit issue with previous coolers from Scythe that only they knew, which they revealed during Gamer's Nexus interview.

Now I wanted something that would rival Noctua's D15 without dealing with too much of a hassle on installation for an existing build. The advanced asymmetrical engineering is configured with a lifted offset design that allows Fuma 3 to have full access to the RAM slot in the front bank and will not overhang the VRM heatsink in the rear on the motherboards. This improvement makes Fuma 3 to be one of the most compatible dual tower CPU coolers on the PC market. Teaming up with Scythe renowned Kaze Flex II 120mm PWM fans, the contra rotational fans allow the radiator to unleash the great cooling performance while maintaining a moderate range of rotational speed from 300-1500 RPM. In this configuration, the Fuma 3 specifically presents for those who are in search of a mix between efficient cooling performance and low-noise experience.
