Bob is a wonderful character and the story itself is simplistic enough to engage any child from three years upwards. I can imagine this story would be wonderful to teach in a Primary setting as there are many directions you could take with the concept of the 'man on the moon' - Space topics, looking at difference and developing visual literacy, among them. Yourself and Bob are much cherished in our booky world and I personally really appreciate everything that you do. Personally, I loved the adult humour - the fact it only takes Bob 15 minutes to get to work on the Moon - and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this to my children; it has become a firm favourite at bedtime.

Kids will laugh along at this strikingly illustrated tongue-in-cheek tale that comes with 19 space stickers. It toured to local schools and venues across the UK in summer 2010, followed by a second national tour in autumn 2011. My son whole heartedly loves proving Bob wrong and pointing out all the illustrations on each page, laughing in delight when he sees a 'cheeky alien' hiding from Bob. He exchanges his tweedy threads for a form-fitting white jumpsuit with a crescent moon on the chest, then boards a squat rocket for the moon. I felt it both related to ordinary life (here on Earth) and yet provided some imaginative ideas about a place so far away and only seen (generally) at night. The small-size aliens were fine and we could count them or just notice them around on different pages.

I haven't charted out my visits for the summer term, but I'm sure there are several in the south) and thanks so much for being so fantastic!
