About this deal

It’s enjoyable blue-eyed pop that sits uneasily beside the eastern-mystery of The Communards’ and their window-watching So Cold The Night. It went head-to-head with the Housemartins’ Caravan Of Love for the all-important Christmas number one. Then there’s the Nick Kamen track that nobody remembers – the Four Tops cover – before A-ha’s epic Manhattan Skyline. Now 9 was actually released as a 15-track, abbreviated, single CD back in the day, but this is the first time it has been available in its entirety across two CDs, and there are no tracks missing!

fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information. Condition - This item is in Excellent condition or better (unless it says otherwise in the above description). On the 2021 CD Now 9 re-issue, "Jack Your Body" has a strange fade out ending, unlike the "clean" ending on the 1987 Double LP. A Video Selection was also released featuring selected tracks from the main album release, and one which didn't appear on any NOW album. backing singers Pepsi and Shirlie had struck out on their own by January; Heartache is a pop classic.

Vinyl in EXCELLENT condition, MINIMAL superficial surface marks and minor background noise in places.

Now 10 was the first double CD in a "Fat Box" - perhaps they will continue to re-issue the "Fat Box" releases in the slim cases? Double CD re-issue coming on July 23, 2021, the track listing has no omissions - I wonder of they will use the "correct" version of "You Sexy Thing? I’m not sure that every toddler was lucky enough to have such an excitingly squishy new toy to play with that month, either *poke poke poke*.The song was reissued in 1986 following the showing of a clay animation video [directed by Giblets] on BBC’s Arena. Ben E King‘s ‘Stand By Me’ and and Jackie Wilson‘s ‘Reet Petite’ reminds us of the British public’s penchant for putting old songs at the top of the charts ( Boris Gardener‘s ‘I Want To Wake Up With You’ was on Now 8) and the power of TV/advertising.

got to go and have some hits by themselves (great vocals too now that they’re not playing second fiddle to George Michael! Despite almost a quarter of the songs topping the charts there’s a nagging feeling that this could have been better. Vote up content that is on-topic, within the rules/guidelines, and will likely stay relevant long-term. Erasure moved into second gear and The Circus era with Sometimes while Robbie Nevil’s C’est La Vie remains a soulful jam that caught the January ’87 wave of optimism. Like the previous volume, it was given a single CD release which featured a selection of tracks available on the full vinyl/cassette release.

Would it maybe be the case that the team behind “Hits” had first dibs on these tracks but the labels involved were happy to licence tracks to EMI/Virgin for inclusion on “Now” as long as there was no Hits albums around at the same time?

This was a hit again ’cause it had a new remix for its tenth anniversary, though I can’t work out whether it was the original or the remix that was featured on this compilation. It’s a bit dull, but there’s something I quite like about it, maybe just ’cause it’s been featured on so many ’80s compilations I’ve heard. Language - Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description. The exclusion of Caravan Of Love is most surprising; it may have cleared the home dancefloor but could have just been included at the very end.
