About this deal

Wilkinson gives readers practical, biblical keys to fulfilling their own dream, revealing that there's no limit to what God can accomplish when we choose to pursue the dreams He gives us for His honour. But it may also strike some as overly simplistic, since the tone veers towards childish at times (""We've all seen how Bullies work.

He describes himself pushing his comfort zones by preaching at bigger and bigger churches and conferences.I thought that this was such a great book to the point that I read it from start to finish in one setting. This time I guess you could say I got both as I purchased the audiobook copy of The Dream Giver, and the author was the reader. As a coach this experience is invaluable because this is what our clients going through meaningful change will experience. It doesn't bother me that the author quotes from that story and enlarges on the points he makes in the second half of the book.

The first half of the book was like a Pilgrim's Progress type fairy tale with a person named Ordinary in the Land of Familiar. While there are many questions one can develop related to resistance, what I want to focus on instead is how Wilkinson utilized metaphor as his means to describe the struggle of Ordinary's life.

They were retelling the story - they told the story in 3rd person but when the action switches into the boys dream about the shadow serpent then they continued in 1st person until the boy woke up. Could it be that maybe the Dream Giver gave every Nobody a Dream, but only some embraced their dreams? I point it out right away because the construct of faith in God has almost everything to do with the parable/story used to bring out the lessons of the book.

I learned that fear is just a four letter word and it is time to move with passion to reach my dreams. The lessons learned from the Wasteland have strengthened Ordinary’s faith and he will need it as he enters the Land of Giants.A heavily-in-demand speaker, Wilkinson also serves as Chairman of Dream for Africa and Ovation Productions. When we say “trust the process” it is not just a turn of phrase it comes from a place of deep knowing and understanding. Before he could stop himself, Ordinary started talking about the Dream Giver, and about his Big Dream. This book is like a map to the blossoming forth of long-cherished desires about things you'd like to achieve.

Russian Language Hardcover Edition of the English language book "The Dream Giver" by Bruce Wilkinson. The Dream Giver book series by multiple authors includes books El Dador de Suenos Para Amigos = The Giver of Dreams for Friends, The Dream Giver for Leaders, The Dream Giver, and several more. I would definitely recommend it if you are also in a new season in your life where things can be intimidating, as this book is all about having faith in the plans God has for your life and not being afraid to take that big step forward in his direction. There is only one criticism I have for this book is that it failed to provide a practical way of accomplished your dreams. The main reason it falls short is because the underlying principle is erroneous--it is all about living our dreams in the here and now or as Joel Osteen would say "Your best life now.Step out of the Land of Familiar and step through the wall of fear and head towards the Big Dream the Dream Giver has uniquely given to me. So if your dream is about becoming the best financial advisor versus traveling the world saving others. The Dream Giver is comprised of two parts with part one including a fictional story on fulfilling your dream. I’m so late to the party here given that this book has been out for a decade but this book has truly changed my life. Bruce Wilkinson is the author of The Prayer of Jabez, named the "fastest-selling book of all time" by Publishers Weekly.
