About this deal

My cot had slats under the mattress so my OH bought some woody/cardboardy stuff for shape and size of cot and placed it ontop of the slats and the motion sensor mat goes on top of that, it works fine. The AC327 is more compact than previous Angelcare baby monitors and comes with colour video as well as sound, unlike the AC115 and AC127. Our Movement monitor with wireless Sensor Pad is designed to be placed under the baby’s mattress where it senses subtle movements (like breathing) while the baby sleeps. This is perfect if we need to monitor baby in a different place, for example, at one of the grandparents’ houses or even in a different room to where the baby would normally sleep.

Do you already own a different brand of baby monitor but want to add in Movement monitoring for extra peace of mind now baby is here? I would have liked to see a better, more intuitive parent unit and smart features allowing access to the camera whilst out on a mobile device. Parents wanting to watch multiple babies from a single parent unit can now conveniently pair a second movement sensor pad and nursery unit to their existing baby monitor. I am sleep deprived, and for the past month have been sleeping (or at least trying to) in a separate room from my hubby as lo is ebf and it seems unfair that oh should be kept awake all night when he has to work the next day. See the best baby monitors with audio and video options for every budget, with every item tested by real parents. The shiny white casing could be susceptible to a few scratches, with some online reviewers stating they felt the plastic was going to break, and that it feels “cheap”. It has gone off a few times with my DD and a few of them she had forgot to breath, but she has some chest issues. Part of me thinks the movement monitor pad will be easier to use without having to take on and off etc.

Recently I spent the evening with a friend who has a sensor mat and the alarm went off one night and she went in to find her 6 month old not breathing. Whether this saved his life or not who knows but it has really made me think that maybe I should get one this time. What’s even better, the low-profile camera can be either wall mounted or used on a table top with stand included.A 1-year warranty is provided by Angelcare® to the original owner of the product against defects in materials and workmanship. This Angelcare baby monitor has always divided opinion here in the PlayPennies office, and I think it always will: I think it's great and I bought one when my youngest son was born - it gave me extra peace of mind, helped me to sleep better and, even though it went of a couple of times, when it shouldn't have, I wouldn't have been without it.

One, which is just a sound monitor, the second is a video monitor and the top of the range is the movement monitor. The Angelcare Baby Monitor is a sound monitor so you can keep an ear on whether they are awake when you might be too far away in the house, or there’s a lot of noise going on, to guarantee you’ll hear them. The AC027 is perfect because it tracks the tiniest of movements and it will work with all other brand of baby monitor. Yes, but you can turn this off if you want to, by changing the settings in the menu on the parent unit. You can choose whether to have continuous sound transmission or for the monitor to just pick up sounds as and when – a green light would flash when my daughter made a noise, and if it got particularly loud, another green light would flash.

While the AC327 baby movement monitor controls are pretty simple, MFM Parent Tester Luke found that the parent unit could be improved, stating: “The parent unit is not the best to use, the menu is fiddly, not very intuitive and the instructions for this are not great”, adding: “It lets the product down a little with slow to respond touch buttons and a difficult to navigate menu system making it frustrating to use extra features. I like that you can add an extra Sensor Pad and nursery unit for use with a second child, this would be particularly valuable if you have multiples or two young children close in age. The design is stylish, portable and the signal range is great – it alerted us that our bedroom was too warm from outside in the garden. It’s true that the hand unit looks a bit cumbersome – but a bigger monitor means a bigger picture area, which our tester loved.

I know you obviously haven't tried it properly yet with baby not arrived yet Which model did you go for? A second Sensor Pad and Nursery Unit can be added so you can also monitor a second child in another room. There’s a lot of detail and it seems over-complicated with so many buttons, so set up can take some time. It’s quite a straightforward monitor, with a touchscreen LCD screen which I found reasonably responsive, although it could be a little sticky at times, and I found I had to press quite hard. I had a first proper look at what we need to get yesterday and thought these seemed like a great idea.Containing SensAsure™ Technology, the ACAM2 has our 40% smaller Wireless Movement Sensor Pad that monitors baby's tiniest movements. We used ours for a few months only but it was worth it as he insisted on tummy sleeping which I hated. There was a slight, faint fuzzing noise, but I found there was no interference when using the device. Angelcare's sophisticated software works seamlessly to provide the ideal solution when monitoring twins in separate cots, or baby and toddler in separate rooms.
