Although it’s far from perfect, there’s still plenty to enjoy about the Hisense E7K Pro and some aspects of its picture-making performance that make it a very watchable TV indeed. They've recently started to add gaming features like variable refresh rate (VRR) support, so they compete with some other brands. If anything, though, you actually see too much detail in dark areas, as you end up noticing noise that the original master was designed to hide. Dark scenes appear behind a wash of excessive greyness that’s so severe at times that it can become hard to actually make out what’s going on in the picture. As is becoming increasingly expected in today’s TV world, the audio features include built-in decoding and playback of Dolby Atmos sound – as well as the option to pipe Atmos out losslessly to soundbars or AV receivers using HDMI’s eARC feature.It’s also better for watching content in a dark room because of its much better contrast, better black uniformity, and local dimming feature. Look a little deeper, though, and the 55A7GQ actually has quite a bit more going on than mere bang for your buck.

HDR looks much better on the U7H due to its wide color gamut, much better color volume, higher HDR peak brightness, and better PQ EOTF tracking, so HDR content is more accurate, more vibrant and lifelike, and bright highlights pop. This makes it a cheaper home entertainment alternative to very expensive models from the two aforementioned brands, especially as it supports both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, as well as DTS advanced audio formats.For video content, it doesn't cause any issues, but if you're planning on using this TV as a PC monitor, this reduces text clarity a bit, although there are easy workarounds for it.
