Hot-swappable means to customize your typing experience without soldering, just pop in the switches you want, and its done. On the other hand, the Q1 is hot-swappable, so you can swap out the switches with whatever you prefer, and it comes with customization software to set macros to any key.

However, the only problem I have is that space, enter and backspace keys have a fair bit of keycap wobble. I had no experience of mechanical switches but as I am quite a heavy typer I thought the extra actuation force would be the best to go with. The Keychron K2 (Version 2) and the Keychron Q1 are both 75% compact boards, but the Q1 is slightly larger due to its more spaced-out navigation keys and function row keys. Nor is there sufficient travel in the Mac keys to avoid the occasional inadvertant multiple keypress. Simply connect the K2 Pro to your device with a cable, drag and drop your favorite keys or macro commands to remap any key you want on any system (macOS, Windows, or Linux).There’s not much to complain about the K2 V2, but maybe figure out a perfect inclination for the next version, Keychron? The aluminium frame means its still light without compromising quality, I have no doubts about being able to carry this in a bag (with a protective case, of course). The K7 is a 65% board available with Gateron Low Profile switches and Keychron Low Profile Optical switches. However, if you hate RGB lights from the bottom of your heart, opt for the white LED backlight option, and save some of your lunch money.
