About this deal

Battery life is rated at 6 hours at moderate volume levels with noise canceling on and there's an extra 14 hours of juice in the brushed aluminum charging case (wireless charging is supported). The buds have an IP57 water-resistance rating, which makes them waterproof and dust-resistant. They feature Bluetooth 5.2 and multipoint Bluetooth pairing so you can connect to two devices at the same time, such as a computer and smartphone. You can use a single bud independently and the earbuds have ear-detection sensors so your music pauses when you remove them from your ears.

ivie - Save energy for the things you love

Four hours in, I finally get to play with the device properly, but unfortunately this was short lived and I’ll explain why further down. The short version is that from my hour or two of using the ivie Bud, it was ultimately no different to the IHD6 other than having a built-in temperature sensor and no battery. If you already know how the IHD6 works, then you know how the ivie Bud works. I was very fond of the Redmi Buds 3 Pro and still use them regularly, so when these came in for review I was excited to see what Xiaomi had in store. Glad to say, I’ve not been disappointed. The new design is very comfortable to wear for extended periods and the buds deliver solid quality across a wide range of audio. ANC is a real bonus at this price, and while it isn’t the best on the market it still can make noisier environments a bit gentler on the ears. And to be totally fair, based on the response from the ivie team, they do care about customer service. Google does not provide an expected lifespan for the battery, but it should last in excess of 500 full-charge cycles with at least 80% of its original capacity. Like most wireless earbuds, the Pixel Buds Pro are not repairable, making them ultimately disposable. The best earbuds for you should sound good to your ears. Which means if you're a dedicated audiophile, look for buds that support Hi-Res Audio codecs, like LDAC and aptX HD Bluetooth for stellar connectivity.

We did enjoy the audio on offer from these buds, but you may want to do some tweaking when it comes to the audio profile. Out of the box, the sound is heavily scooped – at once overwhelming and sometimes boomy in the bass frequencies while being boosted and occasionally brittle in the upper treble range: all of this reduces the clarity of the mids. However, the five-band equalizer in the app means you can adjust the sound to your liking. I don’t think there is a way to fix that until they finish their development. But now I can return the device under the full warranty condition, instead of “unhappy return”. Hardly unbelievable they would get this kind of bug around. In virtually every respect, the EAH-AZ80 make a strong case for themselves. Thanks to some carefully considered design, along with a lavish selection of silicone ear tips, the EAH-AZ80 should stay comfortable no matter the size or shape of your ears. You want top quality sound and have a stretchier budget: If sound quality is top of your list and you can spend a little more, do that. But this is not audiophile-grade.

The best earbuds 2023: top buds for all budgets | TechRadar

We’ve included both wired and wireless earbuds on this list, but you don't have to compromise on audio quality by going wire-free. Our current favorite true wireless earbuds, the Sony WF-1000XM4 combine class-leading sound with high quality noise cancellation tech. If you’re looking for excellent call quality, the Elite 7 Pro are still the better buds, with bone conduction sensors that aren’t included with the Active model. But if you’re on the hunt for a new pair of affordable buds solely for fitness, the Elite 7 Active are a solid choice and good value. Finally, the brand you choose will depend on what you're looking for – but we're careful with our lists. That means all of the earbuds and in-ear headphones above come from brands we trust. Still, if you're not sure where to start looking, respected brands like Sony, Apple, Cambridge Audio, Jabra, and Nura are good places to start. How we test the best earbuds They sound great for the price. Stream Hootie & the Blowfish's Let Her Cryand the different guitars present themselves to each ear in a relatively expansive, open soundstage too. Listen to Prince's Kissand while you'll get all of the bass funk in the intro, the artist's inimitable vocal comes off a little harsh. Sonically, it is difficult to rave about the sound quality, chiefly because of this treble, which does distort even in relatively easy passages, but that's not really the point here.Wefound that the JLab Go Air Pop are actually pretty good generally in our testing – and are emphatically unbeatable for the money. The only other use case which I can’t recommend the device at all, is if you’re on Pay As You Go and need to be able to enter UTRN Top-Up Codes if you go off-supply. The ivie Bud will lose power if it’s unplugged from the mains, so you’ll want to keep your existing IHD charged for this purpose or enter the codes directly on your meter.
