The CD becomes a ready-made practice partner that guides the student and parent for all the pieces and activities in the books.Again there is a CD which accompanies this section and guidance to support learning to play 11 pieces.
The CD for this book offers a unique listening experience with outstanding orchestrations and vocals. The Fabers' instructional theory ACE - Analysis, Creativity, and Expression, guides the pedagogy of My First Piano Adventure. style, and students are encouraged to decorate and colour in the drawings to reflect their progress. This is the second lesson book of this series and goes with the writing book, which has fun reinforcement activities. With real passion the author describes how piano music can sing, dance or paint a picture as in by Clair de Lune by Debussy. Although the idea is that children work through this with a parent or teacher, the CD includes a helpful and clear commentary from the author, which is also available online. There are plenty of opportunities for improvisation and teacher accompaniments are provided for most of the songs and pieces.
