The story centered on Seventh Seltzer, the (you guessed it) seventh kid of an apparently last Cannibal-American family living in Brooklyn. Mother for Dinner talks a chunk of cannibalism, and another good chunk of questioning the banality of identity. I enjoyed it from start to finish, the whole thing was right up my alley; the premise, the characters, the laugh-out-loud humour, the themes. Another central piece in the story was Americanization Day held in 1914 by Henry Ford in attempt to 'Americanized' his immigrant workers: A huge black cauldron was set.
