I rate this above the Panasonic breadmakers, and it really does do a nice loaf of white bread in 58 minutes. We’ve used sunflower and poppy seeds, but you can have fun with different taste and texture combinations-mix it up by adding sesame or pumpkin seeds next time. The bearing(assuming it's got one)in the bread pan is seizing to the point where it's difficult to turn the kneading blade by hand, no wonder the machine sounded like it was struggling lately ! The issues I have experienced with this include the fact that the bread always collapses and there is always a hole at the bottom of the bread as the mechanism can not be removed.

The basic white and rapid white loaves are slightly salty tasting with a puffy crust which collapsed inwards on the second test for basic white bread. If I do not disperse the yeast into warm water, my bread will always, yes, always come out hard as a rock or wet in the middle of the bread. This concern grew to grave disapointment after my first attempt at making a loaf turned out rubbish (a brick - didn't rise). If you can’t eat your way through an entire loaf in one go, slice It once cool and seal it tightly before popping in the freezer. All have turned out well, and we have tried a few variations to the recipe book ingredients successfully.Secondly every ingredient should be in a room temperature and the margarine or butter u use should be soft and not runny. One disappointment though - and this is possibly demonstrative of the 'throw away age' in which we live, was that after just over two years the spindle which connects the machine with the kneading paddle came loose from pan through which it passes. Never use the kenwood recipies as a guideline because usually the recipies have flour-liquid ratio out of proportion.

Choose between large, medium or small loaves (500 g, 750 gram or 1 kg) depending on your individual needs.On the plus side, the bread does come out of the tin easily, and so far we think the tin has stayed in place in the machine when it was put in properly (some people have had problems with this), although you have to take care putting it in.
