I've read the iCarsoft's don't work well on diesel engines, or at least, on the older TD5 engines it didn't work well on. It's just simply a case of going out there again, hooking the car up to another car, risk bricking it for 25 minutes only to find that that won't work either, and even with the remote chance it does, risk bricking the car. iCarsoft i930 was the first Multi-system scanner developed by iCarsoft to diagnose Landrover and Jaguar. In a perfect world, the iCarSoft device would read both sets of codes, but if it’s just reading the Jaguar specific codes, you are 90% of the way to where you want to be! The IID seems to be the only unit well discussed and as I said the marketing for the others was absolutely dreadful - no real explanation of what they actually did.On-Board monitoring - This function can be utilized to read the results of on-board diagnostic monitoring tests for specific components/systems.
