About this deal

As a fellow Arctic fanatic, I wanted to follow up on April's previous adventures with Bear - a polar bear she helped rescue in the first book. When April hears that a polar bear has been shot and injured in Svalbard, she’s convinced it’s her friend and persuades her dad to travel with her to the northernmost reaches of the Arctic. She gets picked up by a woman who clearly lives there; she makes it quite clear Ashe thinks April is stupid! It was such a pleasure to meet you both, and I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally you ran everything. I was at my last school for 4 years and we had ********* book fairs every term – and every term, I was disappointed by the narrow range of books.

When news reaches her that a bear has been shot near Svalbard, April is sure that it is her bear and will not let anything, not even the many miles between them, stop her from saving him. I was with April from the start, feeling her every ache and longing to meet Bear again, and I couldn't put the book down.I also loved how the book is making its readers aware of climate change and the effects that is has on our world and it’s wildlife. I loved The Last Bear, so I was very excited to read Finding Bear, the second book in the series, and It was everything I hoped for and more. April and the bear set out on the most important journey of her life and the story is breath-taking.

When they get to Svalbard, they are staying in a bit of a shabby hotel, run by Jurgen who is surprised to see a child in Svalbard in the Winter. I was lucky enough to finish reading 'The Last Bear' around the time Hannah announced that 'Finding Bear' was due to be released, so I was thrilled! For all ebook purchases, you will be prompted to create an account or login with your existing HarperCollins username and password.Determined to find him and ensure that he is alright, she persuades her father to take her back to the Arctic circle, where the three of them embark on an quest to find Bear.
