Everything is cast in warm, rich tones, from the acoustic lilt of 'Airplane' to the dusky bump of 'Go Baby', but it's the strength of Sol's vocal presence which binds everything together so perfectly. Small embellishments like the birdsong on ‘Golden Child (Jealous)’ and the tape hiss on the introspective piano ballad ‘Old Friends’ lend the album a looser, more spontaneous vibe that draws even more emotion out of Cleo Sol’s casually evocative voice.
