Have you put some petrol and 'Bean Oil' in a glass jar, shaken it up then left it for a while to see what happens? A local guy who always used 747 in his moto-x engine filled up with neat fuel and the bike ran for a considerable amount of time before he noticed a problem and when he stripped it down there was barely a mark , in which he put down to the quality of the oil still remaining in the bike .
as a youth loved the smell of Castrol 'R' and if to be lucky enough to get a whiff of it now suddenly find myself whisked off into a dream and find myself start remembering very happy memories as a kid watching my father doing MX. This may change if you run the R mix through an engine, have heard that burnt R residue can turn acidic if left for a while, not good for engine internals on an infrequently used bike ? The oil was developed to have a great affinity for hot internal engine surfaces and provides excellent load capabilities,” its suppliers said – “something of high importance for racing engines running at sustained peak revolutions”. Stuffed into the front "garden" with a length of battleship chain and wiped over with oily rags to keep the English weather at bay. The comment about the aroma being marmite is probably correct, but I do like a spread of marmite on my morning toast…the castrol R aroma brings back many great memories for me.You're also looking at oils with good flow charateristics, so if its a new engine, i'd be looking at full synths on a race engine.
e. mixed with the petrol, just to give it the distinctive aroma, but he uses mineral based oil in the oil tank.most guys I lnow don’t give a hoot about Chanel, YSL ect but they fo get interested at the smell of 2T, Castrol R and gunsmoke…….
The best for a roadgoing bike in modern times is the modern fully synthetic 2 stroke oils run through the oil pump.Long story short my CB750F takes about 4 or 5 plastic tea spoons and the difference in how my bike runs is amazing! I personally wouldn't add it to gasoline on any engine I was unwilling to do a top end removal and cleaning occasionally, but the smell of 30 to 40 2-strokes on the starting grid is absolutely addictive.
