It should take out the thrill in the story but Jon Athan's writing style has been really pulling me in since the first time I encountered his work. I enjoyed this book, I like finding books by authors who self publish because that’s what I am trying to achieve so if I can help support someone I will do. Hell, this may be a great introduction for a King/Koontz reader who wants to dip their toe into Jon Athan's more "extreme" bibliography.
