This is the first pair of waders I've owned though, so I don't know if they all do it, or if I should have gone up to the 'fat b*stard' size!so sent them the pics and said I'll understand if you don't cover them under guarantee and if so can you sell me a wader repair kit suited for these waders. The best option for me was a pair of bisons, cheap at only a hundred quid with boots and with good reports on here. I'm not always that fussy about small details but my mrs did go on about this, i just said (it'll be fine). I really like the boots they are very comfortable, have good grip on most surfaces apart from slime covered smooth rocks but i did get some extra studs which help.

Also as the Bearclaw boots have nowhere to fasten your gaiter clips to, just put a couple of plastic tie fix straps around the boot, it works OK.i often get washed in of rocks when i,m fishis so there well suited to that ,for me its just the expense but it will save me money in he long run . well my new feature finding chest waders sprung a leak last night and my right foot was full of water. I use crocs for launching the boat, felt soled boots with added ally bars for the river and a pair of cheap work boots with a few added studs for roughing it. Got these as I'd read good reviews on them and I already have a pair of boots for my neoprene chesties. The following Friday night was warm and muggy and a good 500m hike to the waterside would provide the answer as to whether the material is indeed breathable.

I'm guessing they will have a PVC bootfoot which will be ok on sand, but I hate to think of you walking on weed covered rocks! Your mobility when swarming over rocks and reefs is second to none and also the ability to swim to and off rocks and bars and be safer on huge offshore flats is the up side. First off he did not seal the seals all the way to the top of the wader when I asked why he thinks that we don't wade to the tops well some of us do and this is at variance with the quality of the repair he claims to do. They are really comfy, just as good as my hiking boots in fact, more than good enough for a long walk and hours of standing up, and the felt soles grip to anything I care to stand on (I havent tried them on kelp yet, but you get a set of studs anyway).

Bought a 2nd pair which I have used since the beginning of the year and if they last that long I'll be happy! I would love to take the CEO's of wader companies with me on some of my two week trips and make them wear their companies products so they can experience just what it is like to have to put on wet on the inside waders every day to have wet trousers that can't get dried before being worn again. In normal speak, this means that you can deep-wade with complete security and you can walk miles in a heat wave! Eventually the abuse they got in amongst all the barnacle covered reefs i fish took their toll and the heels started to come away and let water in.

Arrived well before they where due and the quality off these waders are amazing, been out fishing the night they arrived no leeks whatsoever and are really comfortable. After several hours of being fine I suddenly felt so sore from the sweat and rubbing that I couldn't carry on. Son and I are fishing Clay Lakes in northern France next year and one of the requirements/suggestions is that fish should be handled, or at least unhooked, whilst in the water.I guess the best waders are what the trout anglers use with a sock not boot and breathable, but very expensive!
