About this deal

There are too many pointless sequences in this film that have no consequence on the story whatsoever. vividness is impressive as situations warrant, but the film can also look slightly washed out and murky by design. Ho dovuto restituire il DVD perchè privo della colonna sonora italiana, cosa non ben specificata nella descrizione. Babylon's 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray enjoys a suitably vibrant High Definition 3D surround sound immersive audio track in the form of Atmos, adding to the frenetic experience by utterly engulfing you in a wild world. From Damien Chazelle, BABYLON is an original epic set in 1920s Los Angeles led by Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Diego Calva, with an ensemble cast including Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li and Jean Smart. If you put aside some of the more prominent works by Mike Leigh and Ken Loach that have been successful at important film festivals around Europe and Asia, there are probably only about a dozen or so independent British films that you would be able to track down on DVD.

I actually prefer Brad Pitt’s own recent appearance about the Industry in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood replete with Quentin Tarantino flourishes. There's even streaks of Scorsese's Wolf of Wall Street in here, particularly as Chazelle unravels a group of individuals who you don't always feel you like very much, even if you're still compelled to watch them as they celebrate the highs and snort the lows.

This 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray release of the film features a stunning looking and sounding disc that features some solid extras with a surprisingly very informative 30 min featurette. Meanwhile, Manny Torres (played by Calva) is our eyes of the film as we can all relate to his journey and rise in the industry. No information is hidden as fine details like hair follicles or patterns like very slim pinstripes on suits come through with ease. It's a testament to there being something pretty powerful in there for it to have a lasting effect - the film stays with you - but you can't always tell whether that's a good thing (c. Not convinced it went anywhere we have not been before when it comes to revelations on the history of the moving image.
