It evokes the same joy as Suavage for me, and while it really does lack the metallic note, I don’t miss it. First, I have to say that I have both Ventana and Sauvage, I am fascinated by the aroma of both perfumes, however, Sauvage has a more metallic and penetrating smell, less lemon and alcohol smell at the top, greater explosion and a touch sweeter. Why did you ever think a low-rent plastic imitation of a radiator casing would be a fitting sleeve for this well- blended Sauvage dupe? Don't fear the Sauvage haters, more people love it than the 30 or so snobs here that scream from the roof tops how horrible it is. Perfumes are often designed with top, middle and base notes, and designed to smell different based on the time after application. This isn't like CDNIM where they are trying to clone an "expensive" Creed formula, as Sauvage never really had much in the way of expensive natural ingredients anyway.

It's not unpleasant, but it leads to top-heavy performance; Ventana is very strong for the first hour or so and then fades quickly.
