The Apollo Fuel Level Monitor is suitable for use with any oil tank up to 3 metres tall, storing Adblue, Biodiesel to British Standard BS EN14214, Heating Oil / Kerosene (C1/C2); Diesel (D), Agricultural Fuel Oils to British Standard BS2869 and Water. Having removed the transmitter from the tank, the transmitter battery is within the transmitter’s plastic casing. The Apollo Visual Ultrasonic comes with two parts, firstly a tank mounted ultrasonic transmitter with level readout compatible with most modern plastic fuel storage tanks that have a 32mm port usually fitted to the tank. The Apollo transmitter uses high-quality FM signal because it is less prone to interference when compared to AM signal. Try and relocate the receiver to a position that is nearer a window, remember that the transmitter communicates with the receiver by use of a 433Mhz FM signal and moving the receiver plug away from possible metal or electrical obstructions can improve the signal.

The second part is receiver plug that can be plugged into an electric socket up to 200m away from the tank, 200 metres is the maximum distance and every building, wall or obstruction between the transmitter and receiver will reduce this distance.Unlike alkaline batteries, the lithium battery will last for up to 5-7 years before it needs replacing.
