Speaking from personal experience with the adapters and a good selection of manual and AF lenses, the lack of Sony lenses is not a issue. To someone on the outside looking for a different system, the A7 series looks very good, but still a bit lens limited. With mirror less, shooting products you can increase the ISO to see what you're doing and set the focus, then decrease it for the shot.

However, when Canon decide to release DR that supasses sony's ones, i will invest a full body DSLR again for landscape work.

The problem is that when shooting video the Camera menu has three things grayed out on the first menu page, three on the second, one on the third, one on the fifth, five on the sixth, two on the seventh, and one on the eighth. if you *want* a narrow aperture and the camera doesn't feel it has enough light it will open up the aperture further. I for one have been venturing more and more into filmmaking in addition to stills, and the lines between stills and video has been blurred more and more ever since the introduction of the Canon 5D to the cinema world. With the ZEISS lenses I use I’m able to take advantage of the cameras capability to the fullest and have images at such an ISO range that are still usable. Unlike the Canon EOS R5, the Sony A7S III does not record 8K video but is capable of 4K video at 60p and 4K 120p slow-motion recording with full-pixel readout at 4:2:2 10bit internal, alongside other frame rates.Shoot up to 10fps continuously in AF-C and AF-S and capture at speed of up to 1/8000s with the camera's mechanical shutter. Optimised video, optimised sensitivity, optimised speed, the Sony Alpha a7S III raises the bar for what a full-frame mirrorless camera is capable of. Overall, the A7s has all the usual Sony attributes: good color discrimination and deep dynamic range, for example. However, I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out that Sony is promulgating a bunch of f/4 zooms in FE these days.
