Armored Assault Tank includes two standard minifigures — Ahsoka Tano and an “Ahsoka Trooper” Clone Trooper — along with two printed battle droids. The first standard-scale AAT in five years (the first in this color scheme in twelve years) is likely to be welcomed by LEGO Star Wars collectors who’ve begun collecting more recently. The irony here is that in fact I quite like it to some degree, as the larger turret and less ellipsoid overall appearance give it its own unique and distinct look, but it just bears zero resemblance to the original vehicles. Verdict: 9/10 - A great set to get, especially if you missed the last AAT in 2009, though, in my opinion the 2009 version was better!

The set includes 286 pieces with two minifigs (plus two battle droids), and will become available in the US on Sept. After a bazillion and seventy-nine years of getting the same angry-clone head (with a brief but hopeful period when we got angry but snarky clone head) we (finally! Still, the droids in this set feature unique, two-color printing on their heads with matching olive green torso pieces.We're currently in the process of updating our photography to include the set, but we can assure you that it will fit perfectly in the display case and will feature all minifigures if the set has them. Moving up, the central cannon and its base actually sit on a 4×4 circular panel that lets it rotate freely without falling off. It’s all good stuff to have around just in case you may need it one day and you can’t go wrong with it. This set includes 2 LEGO® Star Wars™ minifigures – Ahsoka Tano and Ahsoka's Clone Trooper – AAT Driver Battle Droid and Battle Droid LEGO figures, and cool weapons including 2 Lightsabers to role-play action stories. Moreover, the old version of the set feels much more imposing and menacing than the new one, which seems a bit cutesy, to be honest.

The other big highlight of this set is the 332nd Company Trooper, who, so far, is only available in this set. At least I’m glad they didn’t eliminate all antennas because, as you know, all the droids are remotely connected to their control ships in orbit. Use the pieces to build an epic Armoured Assault Tank, then imagine loads of intergalactic adventures right from your playroom. Unfortunately, the rest of the sides still look rather plain, particularly where the Dark Blue Curved Slope meets the gray bricks on the bottom of the craft. Again, a battle droid will rattle around, but it’s good for posing for photography or larger MOC displays.Anyway, for all intents and purposes the turret should not be any wider than the extended handle it’s situated on and I feel that this is a typical case where the LEGO side of things got too much in the way. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. Like the 2015 version, the 2020 redesign uses the 6x6x2 arch brick to achieve the curves in the hover-tank’s base.
