The PartyBox 710 is a bit of a beast, so to help you move it around, wheels and a concealed handle make it easy to manoeuvre. However, everything else about the 710 is pretty much the same as the 310 and 110. The 710 has 2 quarter inch inputs so that you can plug in a pair of microphones if you want to do Karaoke. Which I’m sure your neighbors are going to be so happy. I know I am. And if you want, you can play around with the bass, treble and echo on your microphone. However just keep in mind this will only affect the sound of your microphone not your music. And there’s also these DJ effects buttons. Now personally I wouldn’t use them… but they’re there. And you can customize them through the Partybox App. But now let's talk about the light feature on this speaker, cause in general… JBL has some very impressive light features. Now for starter’s you can control this light feature from JBL’s Partybox app. And this light feature is an upgraded version of the light feature found on the 110. As in the light rings that surround the woofers are conjoined… unlike the light rings on the 310 which are separated. But the 710 also has additional colored LED’s imbedded into its face which does give it like a star effect… and there’s also these colored LED strips on either side which aren’t found on the these other Partybox’s. Overall, the light feature on the 710 looks amazing… but personally I really wish the tweeters also had light rings around them. I don’t know… I just really like the look of the illuminated tweeters on the 110. Outside of the thumping bass, the music sounds fantastic. It’s clean and clear, you can hear each instrument as well as every lyric, and it’s got tonnes of energy to it as well. It’s a party speaker through and through. Lights, music, party! The JBL PartyBox 710 makes the difference between a good party and an unforgettable one.

In view of the dimensions and performance of the JBL ParyBox 710, it is clear that a rechargeable battery is not sufficient for operation. I like the 710 light show better for that reason. Its a personal preference, but it just feels more about making the party cool, then making the speaker look cool. When it comes to being the king, the Partybox 1000 takes the crown. It is a massive speaker system weighing in at 76.5 lbs (34.7 kg) and it stands at over 43″ inches tall (105 cm). If your smartphone or tablet is running low on juice, simply connect to the PartyBox’s USB and keep your mobile device charged up while it’s running. Then there is the light show – and even though the 710 isn’t a full panel light show, I like it better than the 1000’s. It has more strobe functions, including colored strobes, and feels like it projects more of a club vibe than that of the 1000.

All of the materials used for construction are solid and of excellent quality; this speaker does not feel cheap in any way. In the front of the JBL PartyBox, 710 are two giant 8-inch woofers, and two 2.75-inch tweeters flanked by LED light strips and LED lights scattered inside the speaker grille. The JBL logo is placed center and is not gaudy or overbearing. The whole device seems built to last, it’s robust and even has an IPX4 rating which means it’ll survive splashes of water so it should be safe from accidents. But now lets talk about pairing this speaker up with other speakers. Now with the Partybox 710 you can wirelessly pair it up to either one other Partybox 310 or to a Partybox 110 and get them to play in sync. Or if you have 2 Partybox 710’s you can wirelessly pair them up and get them to play in sync, or you can get them to play in left and right stereo mode. It has 800 watts of power which it delivers via 2 x 216 mm (8″) woofers and 2 x 70 mm(2.75″) tweeters. No subwoofer on the 710.Bluetooth pairing makes it easy to wirelessly connect-up your smartphone, tablet or laptop.
