About this deal

Blum is often unlikable when she forgets to appreciate those who care for her – or focus on her kids, who also lost their father. But this is exactly why she comes across as a real person. Not some action movie or comic book vendetta character. This is not that kind of story! What Shows Will It Remind You Of? Woman Of The Dead (Original title: Totenfrau) has a bit of the same feel as Mare Of Easttown, though the title character here has a personal involvement in the central murder case. The Gist: Brunhilde Blum (Anna Maria Mühe), who is known around town as “Blum”, is an undertaker in her tiny German mountain town. She sometimes imagines the corpses she works on talking to her. When her assistant, Reza Shadid (Yousef Sweid) tells her that the family of the person she’s working on bought a standard casket that was too small, she takes out her bone saw. The Woman of the Dead film location is a remote village in the mountains of Japan. The village is known for its beautiful scenery, traditional architecture, and rich history. The location was chosen by the filmmakers because it perfectly captured the eerie and unsettling atmosphere that the movie required. Getting There

We discuss the popular Netflix series and its locations.

Our Take: Based on Bernhard Aichner’s novel of the same name, it seems that Woman Of The Dead is a fairly straightforward small-town-with-secrets thriller, but with characters who have some interesting personality quirks. Those quirks, of course, start with Blum herself; her relationship with Mark is wrapped up in the tragedy that killed her parents, so there’s all sorts of implications in his death. And when her mind wanders as she works to prepare corpses for their funerals, it really wanders.Stream It Or Skip It: ‘Master Gardener’ on Hulu, Another Subtly Sinister Drama From Master Storyteller Paul Schrader One of the best ways to explore the Woman of the Dead film location is to take a guided tour. There are several tour operators in the area that offer tours of the village and its surroundings. The tours will take you to the places where the movie was filmed, and you will get to see the stunning scenery and the traditional architecture up close. Haunted Places

Opening Shot: A sailboat on the open sea. A woman sunbathes on the bow with headphones on, listening to an old iPod. People start screaming for help. We flash between this and the same woman, working at the funeral home she owns. However, Blum believes that she has killed all the men responsible for her husband’s death. She accepts Massimo’s offer for dinner after he saves her during the police investigation. Blum gives the flash drive to Reza before going to dinner with Massimo. When Reza sees the footage on the drive, he discovers that Massimo is the fifth member of the masked men group. On the other hand, Blum sees the burn mark on Massimo’s body, confirming that he is the fifth member. You can also learn about the local culture by visiting the traditional craft shops in the village. The shops sell a variety of handmade items, including pottery, textiles, and wood carvings. You can even try your hand at making your own souvenirs by taking a workshop with a local craftsman. Local Cuisine

But, as most small-town dramas go, everyone around has something dark going on. Massimo’s wife Ute (Andrea Wenzl) gets inexplicably drunk during Mark’s memorial. The whole town seems to work for Schönborn when tourist season starts. Schönborn herself seems to be covering something up but we’re not sure what it is. Using Mark’s phone, Blum found the location where Dunja was kept hidden. Mark was helping Dunja, an immigrant who had illegally entered Austria. After learning about Mark’s death, Dunja exclaimed that Mark was purposefully killed and that it could not have been an accident. When Dunja and her sisters illegally migrated to Austria, they were handed over to a local person. After taking a few sips of the water from the bottles they were handed, Dunja remembered waking up and finding herself trapped in a room. Her sisters were dead, and they were surrounded by men in masks. Dunja somehow managed to escape from the place and ran to the toll booth. That was how Mark got to know about her, and he started investigating the case. Blum offered Dunja a place to stay to keep her safe. The Woman of the Dead film location is also known for its beautiful scenery. There are several scenic spots in the area that are worth visiting, including the waterfall, the cherry blossom trees, and the traditional houses. Make sure to bring your camera, as the views are truly breathtaking. Local Culture

Blum knows that the police and the federal investigator will investigate Massimo’s death and her connection to it. Therefore, Blum and Reza plant evidence they have collected in Massimo’s house, framing him for the murders of Puch, Edwin, Ludwig, and Jaunig. However, Mrs. Schönborn could still create a problem for Blum. Therefore, she threatens to tell the police about the engine room and Edwin’s involvement in it. As a result, Mrs. Schönborn is forced to pull strings and stop the federal investigation surrounding Blum.
