About this deal

While this isn’t the strongest Weapon Upgrade in the game, it’s not a bad one by any means, and sometimes having the Heal can save your fighter. You probably don’t take it over Amberbone weapons, but it’s a neat alternative. She is armed with a Glaive of Khaine. [1] Quotes Relish the look in their eyes, the panic as they grasp the magnitude of their error. Relish it, then strike. Sweet Sacrifice is a great Surge aggro objective which Morgweath’s Bladecoven have in abundance. Basically have Morgwaeth kill someone. Kyrae can score it too, just not with her Heartseeker Bow which adds some nice redundancy in case Morgwaeth dies early. Victimise gives you +1 dice and grants you full re-rolls against Quarry fighters. Essential for Hrothgorn players but even standard aggro players can use this to a decent effect that becomes better when you run into an enemy Quarry. Precise Use of Force was an auto-include in Shadespire before it got Restricted. While the usefulness varies against different warbands where you can occasionally struggle to set up precise damage, extra Glory off of a kill is always good, especially without positional requirements.

Proof of Devotion is interesting. Let down by being a 3 rd end phase objective but helpful for players going for the hold objective and aggro build. I am totally new to Warhammer Underwordls, but I have invested in Morgwaeths Bloodcoven. I have red through some forums and did also buy the cards of Rippas Snarlfangs. I think they’re going to be a high-variance warband. There will be games where the dice gods smile and pour on the damage but there will be just as many where you can’t Dodge and these ladies shatter. Maybe there’s something to tease out with early objective play that feeds into late game bloodshed like the Grymwatch but will it be better to just play the ghouls? Naturally this means someone will win a high profile tourney shortly after I abandon them by tooling up Khamyss like some dirty Skaven. How fare would you go for 2 glory? Amazing objective. Can score this with no damage taken if you flip feature tokens friendly fighters are standing on. Either way, it’s a great way for some reliable end phase 2 glory. Triumphant Stance is a great Dual objective. Almost a faction Uncontested. Amazing against aggro opponents but still not too hard to achieve. Bloodbane Venom is amazing if you’re me. You have a 42.1% chance of doing at least 1 damage to opponent. For the brave or crit-empowered. It’s also a Poison card though which is a nice addition.

Warband Focus: Morgwaeth’s Blade-coven - Warhammer Community

Kyrae is a Blood Stalker Krone and armed with her Heartseeker Bow. This has a massive range of 4, 3 fury, 1 damage and has Ensnare too! She also has a Sacrificial Knife which is range 1, 2 fury and 1 damage. Unlike her other Bladecoven, Kyrae starts with a movement characteristic of 5 and has a wounds characteristic of 3 as well as having a dodge characteristic of 2. This all makes her fast and durable which synergises well with what the warband wants to do in terms of objectives and weakening enemy fighters from afar for easier kills. Is possible to score proof of devotion if there aren’t any objective at the enemy territory? For exemple if you flip all the objective, Consecrate to Khaine with how common objective play at the moment, this is another great objective. Unfortunately Kyrae basically can’t score it for you but that’s the only main downside.

Gotta have to learn how the game works. Which matchups are good for the Bladecoven and witch matchups are hard to win against? Hidden Purpose makes Temporary Victory look weak. This is such a strong objective that virtually every warband can run san Mollog’s Mob. Restricted? Most likely. Aggro warbands will love it but it’s another jewel to the pile for hold objective warbands. Lethyr is our next Witch Aelf. She has the exact same profile as Kyrssa except does no additional damage. Nothing too big to write about until we get to her inspired side. Morgwaeth’s Blade-Coven are a 5 fighter warband which puts them in the middle of not having too many fighters but also not have too few. 4 is still the perfect number in my books but 5 fighter warbands usually end up having at least 1 fighter exposed to early charges from the start of the game. Like most warbands, Morgwaeth’s Blade coven (generally) share a movement value of 4 uninspired while all defending with dodges. The whole warband also inspires when it is the 3 rd round of a game. This has downsides but it makes them the only warband with a truly guaranteed inspiration mechanic no matter what happens during a game. The style for these ladies is likely going to be something like Flex Aggro, trying to score some passive cards early for upgrades before sending in your squishy fighters on suicide missions. They could try to play partially into a Hold Objective style, as they have high speed and five fighters, so they could potentially play around with things like Swift Capture or Hidden Purpose, especially with Kyrae sitting on an Objective and using her long range.A further 60 unique cards (only available in this set) to enhance your fighters and provide new tactics and challenges for your games of Warhammer Underworlds: Beastgrave, including: Now we move onto the universal card aspect of the warband review where I look at and rate the universal cards that come with Morgwaeth’s Bladecoven. The plastic on mine seems the same quality as your standard GW kit as far as I can tell. Morgwaeth's spear is a bit fragile cos it's so thin, but I haven't noticed anything unusually brittle. I think this is excellent. Hold this, fish for Crits, get free Glory. Yes, you can’t spend it to get Upgrades, but Glory is Glory, and this is more reliable than something like Daylight Robbery. I can’t rate it 5/5 since it doesn’t directly impact the board, which is a hard sell for a Gambit card, but it is a strong inclusion for tiebreaking and winning games. Raf: Legitimately love this card. There’s probably some reactions out there I’m not remembering that shut it down but it’s going to fun apologizing to your opponent as you play it since they’re probably already annoyed you rolled a crit.
