The Hanayama range has been painstakingly designed and developed over more than a quarter of a century!

I started with this one to get a feel for a relatively straight-forward one for a beginner (even though I have a couple of harder ones already). Based on these original puzzles from Britain’s famous puzzle period, this is one that we have successfully revived in its new form.

There are few places to go wrong and need a backtrack (there is a dead end at the beginning) but if you don't line things up perfectly then it will appear as if you have taken a wrong step (I did get lost once during the reassembly). Once players have climbed the spiral stairs to the Headmaster’s Office, they should head through the second door on the left wall. The instructions say you should be careful not to use any force and comments on the Puzzle Master page do say it can be easily broken. Looking at the individual keys it is really not clear how this works so well - the differences between the 2 interlocking edges are very subtle, this is a very cleverly designed puzzle! By finding the Key of Admittance in Hogwarts Legacy, players can unlock access to valuable new gear items in a unique location that’s sure to delight fans of Wizarding World lore.

A seemingly simple puzzle, but its hidden inner workings make it hard to solve, and hard to replicate if you do manage. I also noted that EVERYONE I gave it to really enjoyed it and felt a definite sense of achievement afterwards.

Rupert found it easy enough to use that he didn't get frustrated but complex enough to keep him interested. There are two cast puzzles that look like keys and I got this version because I preferred the dark shiny chrome effect. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.
