Signed on the strength of his mini-disc demos, the Welsh wonder has smashed his way through the D+B scene and has become one of its iconic and much-respected heroes. In 2012, as summer heralded a new and exciting passage came about for High Contrast when he was asked to write the music for the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics with Underworld. An immense undertaking, this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity culminated in the release of High Contrast’s “The Road Goes On Forever” digital-only EP which was released later that year. And of course, alongside the music, High Contrast is also an avid filmmaker, having studied film making at Newport, he directed, filmed and edited the video for “The First Note Is Silent” as well as the recently released nostalgia trip “Spectrum Analyser”.2017 sees a whole new chapter for High Contrast with brand new music dropping and an album in the pipeline. - - - Fred V & Grafix - - - Fledgeling stars Fred Vahrman and Josh Jackson a.k.a Fred V & Grafix signed to Hospital at the end of 2011 and have been making waves ever since with regular appearances on BBC Radio 1Xtra and mini mixes on Annie Mac’s show. A pair of producers who have been working together for the past five years now and showing huge promise, the boys brought us an abundance of musical gems before they delivered their debut EP on Hospital in March 2013. Initially, into live music, the pair converted to D+B when they heard Pendulum’s controversial and genre-changing album “Hold Your Colour” and High Contrast’s sophomore “High Society”. Influenced by an eclectic range of sounds outside of D+B, from electro/French house, ambient and hip hop, Fred V & Grafix cite artists such as Flying Lotus, Bonobo, Dilla and Jimi Hendrix as key inspirations, alongside fellow Hospital artists High Contrast and Logistics.Fred V & Grafix made their first appearance on Hospital as part of the “Fifteen Years Of Hospital Records” album with “Find My Way” and have continued to take the label by storm. As well as producers within their own right, Fred V & Grafix have also stunned us with their remixes of Emeli Sande – “Daddy”, Skepta – “Hold On”, Camo & Krooked – “All Fall Down” and not forgetting their amazing remix of Rudimental’s chart-topping No. 1 hit “Feel The Love”.- - - Nu:Logic - - -Nu:Logic is a collaborative partnership between Hospital signings Nu:Tone and Logistics. The two brothers, Dan and Matt Gresham, first joined forces under this new alias in the mid-noughties, with the first Nu:Logic release "On & On" appearing on Hospital in 2004. The project went on the back burner until 2010 when they released their "New Technique" EP to great critical acclaim. The pair combines the music that they love - music with soul, atmosphere, tension and groove - together into one melting pot of sound. Whilst growing up they were exposed to the same music, but quickly found their tastes diverging. However now they are older, these have moved closer together again and at the core is a shared love of artists such as DJ Shadow, DJ Krush, MoWax, Full Cycle, Heaz, No U Turn, Jazzanova and Calibre.2017 saw them drop their new album, 'Somewhere Between The Light' which follows on from 2013's much loved 'What I've Always Waited For' and the result is just what you'd hope for from this combination of two of Hospital's longest standing servants.Sultry soulful sounds combined with gritty dancefloor funk as well as some choice collabs and guest vocalists thrown into the mix for good measure it's the perfect summer album for the club, festival as well as home listening. - - - Dynamite MC - - -Arguably the greatest dnb mc to ever pick a microphone up.
