I did also delete the "Corsair Composite virtual input device" from within Device Manager before installing but could give it a go without that step see if it works. If your system is already set up to have sufficient exhaust, then you can experiment with mounting the fans on top of the radiator where they can push cooler air from outside of the case down through the radiator. Mounting the iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT is an identical process to any recent CORSAIR liquid cooler, and I won’t cover the process step-by-step here. With Raptor Lake’s 13900K, not a single cooler tested has been able to keep the CPU under TJ max in this test – because as we pointed out, the chip is designed to dial up performance and power until it richest that thermal result.

Each socket bracket pair slides around a channel groove in the block base and secures the pump base to the mounting hardware. In this installation we will be attaching the H100i to an Asus P9X79 motherboard which uses the LGA 2011 socket. The noise levels from these 120 mm fans are quite low at lower RPMs, with the “Balanced” preset providing the best noise/performance balance (go figure) out of the box. If you want to see diagrams or more detailed installation instructions, consult your cooler product manual. It will be easier to mount the radiator first, and then the CPU cooling unit, rather than the other way around. Each adapter will support two fans, and by plugging the fans directly into the fan power adapter cable and into the cooling unit, you will be able to monitor and control the H100i fans through the Corsair Link V2 software.The expansion port can also be connected directly to the stand alone Corsair Link kit which comes with the Corsair Link Commander unit. Beyond improved iCUE software-powered RGB lighting customization, enabled via 16 individually-addressable RGB LEDs on the pump head, CORSAIR’s PRO XT liquid cooler lineup ( introduced at this year’s CES) offers their “best performing liquid cooler yet” in the H150i RGB PRO XT – though we are going to focus on the 240 mm version here today. Although they sport 4-pin RGB connectors, they don’t work well with most traditional 4-pin male or female adapters, as Corsair seems intent on keeping their lighting ecosystem relatively exclusive.

Radiator and block installation were relatively problem-free and nearly identical to every AIO we’ve installed, which makes routing the fan, USB and RGB cabling the only portion of the cooler setup that required any real focus. The short sided threads screw directly into the LGA 2011 Intel bracket that is already attached to the board. This isn’t the thickest (or thinnest) radiator we’ve seen, but it should be compatible with almost any case that supports a 240mm AIO. I solved my issue by installing a powered internal USB hub, plugged into my motherboard's USB header and powered by my power supply. Duration of sustained load will affect the noise output, with our test runs pushing things as far as 37.
