Unlike many other devices, the power cable actually connects to the mount itself rather than the camera. It uses a micro USB port on the side of the mount and then plugs into the auxiliary/cigarette lighter port on the car itself. The Dash Cam does this automatically to allow for more footage to be recorded and the old, unnecessary footage to be deleted without manual intervention. However Protected footage is not overwritten in the same way. These can fill the card and reduce the quantity of normal footage saved on your SD card. The 622GW is the only dashcam in the range to feature a resolution of 4k, this allows for really crisp videos and you’ll be able to identify signs, faces and reg plates with ease.
