About this deal

The leader and the Claw-Spear have access to Impaling Strike, an ability that for a Triple allows to do damage on charge (if you finish a movement within 1” of an enemy do as much as 6 damage). Each Myrmidesh sect is devoted to one aspect of a form of combat known as the Dance of the Wailing Blade. In the end it will depend on your personal preference, but you have several options available. Apart from the Lord of Pain ability or the one from the Blissbrew Homonculus, there are no other synergistic abilities, so when dividing the warband in the 3 groups you could have completely heterogeneous groups each specialized in something. Pros and cons of the Slaanesh Sybarites No one is more magnificent than the Lord of Hubris and he knows it. This narcissist is enamoured with their own skill and martial prowess. Strutting on to the battlefield they taunt and tease their foes believing no one is worthy of his blade or attention.

So, when this article refers to an ability being a Double, a Triple or a Quad, it refers to this system. It might sound a bit confusing, but takes no time to get used to when you start playing The Myrmidesh are your perfect defensive piece, with one of the highest Toughness available in game together with a decent melee profile. Those Seeker warriors acquiring an Exalted Steed of Slaanesh can cross the battlefield at incredible speed. Introduced in the new season of Warcry, Reactions are things that can be done in certain circumstances, but always during the enemy turn. They cost one action, so they can be used only by fighters that have not activated yet or are waiting. There are 3 universal reactions and one specific to each warband:As previously mentioned, the new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar is set to shake up a fair few rules and create some interesting opportunities for your Hedonite armies. To find out just how they’ll be adapting to these changes, we asked our playtester and tournament-winning master of all things Slaanesh Mike Willson to give us his thoughts and advice. Note: if you haven’t read the basic rules for Warcry before reading this article, it might be helpful to know that the game’s abilities are activated by using 6 dice that you roll at the start of your turn. There are still three lores for Hedonites, though only one major change to the Lore of Slaanesh, and both are worth mentioning here.

If you’re a Hedonites player, you’ve got good reason to be excited about this new tome – the new range looks great, some of the units are really strong, and there’s good reason to believe that this new version of the army will return the faction to its place among the game’s top-tier armies. Godseekers’ artefacts are largely the same as before, though Cameo of the Dark Prince now only gives you a command point once per game. The Lash of Despair has you roll for each enemy unit within 6” at the start of the Shooting phase and dealing a mortal wound to them on a 4+. And Girdle of the Realm-Racer lets you trade 1 wound for the ability to Fly. Godseekers are out there hunting for any trace of the Dark Prince’s whereabouts, which seems odd given the recent story developments around Morathi. But here we are. Their big trait is that they get +1 to charge rolls. In army construction they’re compelled to take Seekers, and they score Depravity points (D3) when their general makes a charge, plus one more if another Godseekers unit does as well. This is easier to score but much less loaded than before. They may be a relatively recent addition to the Mortal Realms’ landscape, but the Hedonites of Slaanesh are more eager than most to embrace new and exotic ideas. Let’s see how they fare. Who are the Hedonites of Slaanesh? Slaanesh has been imprisoned since the Age of Myth by the Aelven Pantheon (Tyrion, Teclis, Malerion and Morathi) in the Hidden Gloaming, a sub-realm between Hysh, the realm of Light, and Ulgu, the Realm of Shadow. Now the bigger question is “What horde units should Slaanesh armies be worried about?” and that’s fair. Maybe Daughters? Are Mortek hordes still around? The blademasters obsessed in pain (provoked or suffered) become Myrmidesh Painbringers, while those that form a pact with lesser demons of Slaanesh share their mortal body with those essences and are called Symbaresh.

Dance of the Wailing Blade (Double, all Myrmidesh Painbringers): Add 1 to the damage inflicted this round by hits or critical hits. The good thing about those 2 abilities is that to be efficient you don’t need a high value: a Triple 1 is enough for the Shardspeaker and a Quad 2 or 3 for the Lord of Pain (you don’t need more than Strength 6 and in most cases 5 is enough). During the End Times, Sigvald fought the wight king Krell, one of the Great Necromancer Nagash’s most trusted lieutenants, taking a grievous – and scarring – wound. In his fury, Sigvald destroyed the revenant, only to be betrayed and killed by his ally, Throgg the Troll King. Yet none who are touched by the gods can escape their fates so easily… Rebirth The Slaanesh Sybarites are the newest Age of Sigmar expansion to the Hedonites of Slaanesh army. As such the models are all, except one, brand-new and there are no discounted box available yet. The Slaangors are in the middle between a cavalry piece (6″ Movement but not mounted) and a damage dealer, being slightly more efficient in killing than a Symbaresh. Their special ability costs a Double and, combined with the 2″ range of their weapon, allows them to get really close to an enemy without necessarily engaging them.

Origins

The archers on-foot are the cheapest units of the Dark Revellers. Even the leader is one of the cheapest leaders around.

Depravity Points: Another big rule that was all but guaranteed to change. The general breakdown here is: The result was complete and utter domination: While you saw the occaisional outliers, Slaanesh armies were holding three of the top 5 spots at almost every major tournament, with the exception of one GT where no Slaanesh armies were played. Again this wasn’t a surprise – the Summoning mechanic was so good that for every Keeper of Secret your opponent killed, you could generate enough Depravity Points to summon another one, or 30 Daemonettes, if you were somehow losing on objectives. This 86-part plastic kit makes five Mymidesh Painbringers for use in Warhammer Age of Sigmar. It comes supplied with five 32mm Round Citadel bases. The kit can alternately be built as Symbaresh Twinsouls. But how do the Dark Revellers play on the tabletop? There is nothing excessive in looking at their deepest detail. Overview and Points for the Fighters in the Slaanesh Sybarites Warband Since then, the arrogant aelves extracted souls that once Slaanesh devoured during the destruction of the Old World, to repopulate the Mortal Realms with new civilizations (the Daughters of Khaine, the Idoneth Deepkin and the Lumineth Realm-lords).Slakeslash is a Slaangor Fiendblood with higher damage (3/6) and wounds (22) and same ability to perform a bonus run towards a close enemy (remember that now costs a Double not a Triple). Tips on painting the Hedonites of Slaanesh What changed in the new edition for the Slaanesh Sybarites Dark Revellers? Elite numbers- you often won’t have a lot of board presence without Summoning, but then you are are giving up Depravity bonus’. Like all of the god-beholden Chaos armies, the Hedonites of Slaanesh also present you with a huge variety of mortal and daemonic units to intertwine, creating a fascinating mixture of painting and modelling opportunities. These are the Mortal Realms’ premier party animals after all – go wild with your paint schemes and unleash your boundless creativity. As an added bonus, any wounds Shardslash inflicts cannot be negated, making Sigvald one of the most reliable assassins in the game. Did we mention you’re going to want him in your army?
