While it does with certain serious topics, the general tone of the book is quite light-hearted, due to it being marketed for children, and I also love the message of the book because it's something that even we, as adults, need to be reminded of from time to time. She raised Etta with the help of her Aunt Viv and there are strong disagreements among the three about the best choices. With a heroine to cheer for and laugh-out-loud delicacies on every page, Tiny Imperfections is perfect entertainment!
